Exclusive: The first 15 minutes of The Behemoth's Castle Crashers

Nick Chester on Castle Crashers

On August 27, The Behemoth's side-scrolling beat-'em-up role-playing game Castle Crashers will finally be available for a cool 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Although the reality is that Castle Crashers has been in the making for "a normal amount of development time," it sure has seemed like forever, hasn't it? But why make the next week of waiting any harder than it has to be?

After much begging and pleading, we're being allowed to share with you the first 15 minutes of Castle Crashers. While the game supports four players (both locally and online), I was only able to round up two people -- my good friend (and Baltimore-area record biter) Don and my wife, Debbey -- to sit down and play with me.

Note: Castle Crashers is rated T (for "teen"), but the commentary is probably a bit closer to mature. With that in mind, the audio of this video may be not safe for work. That's NSFW for those of you who only look for Internet lingo when browsing blog posts.

Part one of the video can be found above, with the second half after the jump. Be sure to check back this Thursday, when we present our follow-up, "The 18 minutes right after the first 15 minutes of Castle Crashers." Enjoy!
