On August 27, The Behemoth's side-scrolling beat-'em-up role-playing game Castle Crashers will finally be available for a cool 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Arcade.
Although the reality is that Castle Crashers has been in the making for "a normal amount of development time," it sure has seemed like forever, hasn't it? But why make the next week of waiting any harder than it has to be?
After much begging and pleading, we're being allowed to share with you the first 15 minutes of Castle Crashers. While the game supports four players (both locally and online), I was only able to round up two people -- my good friend (and Baltimore-area record biter) Don and my wife, Debbey -- to sit down and play with me.
Note: Castle Crashers is rated T (for "teen"), but the commentary is probably a bit closer to mature. With that in mind, the audio of this video may be not safe for work. That's NSFW for those of you who only look for Internet lingo when browsing blog posts.

I've been playing Guardian Heroes lately, wishing for a 4 player story mode like this.
I also skipped stuff.
The talking over the game was unbearable. Please don't do that next time or at the very least scale it down a notch.
Can't wait though...i'm literally holding whatever MS points i've had for the past month just to get this game.
I really NEED THIS GAME.

And seriously...normal amount of development time? Wasn't this announced for the GameCube when it was still-somewhat alive? I can't remember the exact date it was originally announced, but I'm pretty damn sure it started as a GC-exclusive.

You HAVE a copy of Guardian Heroes? I HATE you! I haven't gotten to play that for like 10 years. I still long for the day...
Definitely looking forward to this game - I'll be buying it the Wednesday after next.
