Exclusive: Out-of-control debut trailer for Skullgirls

6:00 PM on 02.28.2011

Here it is, the first trailer for Skullgirls, an upcoming 2D fighter from Autumn Games and Reverge Labs for "high-definition consoles" in 2011. So, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

It looks suitably ridiculous, and silky smooth as far as the animation is concerned. Especially the part where the girl's hair turns into an octopus that squeezes another character. That actually happened, guys.

I'm fairly certain Skullgirls is being shown off at GDC -- hey, that's going on right now! -- so don't even think about closing your browser in favor of doing something crazy like being productive. It'll also be playable at PAX East -- booth #750.

That 'mysterious' Dragon Ball Xenoverse character is you

I should have known this all along, but I was holding out hope that it would actually be a new character. That "mysterious character" in Dragon Ball Xenoverse is a custom creation. So, in essence, it's "you." You'll be able t...more

This Super Smash Bros. 3DS XL is droolworthy

Gaze upon that glory above. It's beautiful, isn't it? I have always been reluctant to upgrade to a 3DS XL, but this might just be what kicks it over the edge. Nintendo of Europe announced this bundle on its Twitter earlier. This handheld comes with a digital copy of Super Smash Bros., so players can get their Nintendo fight on and silently let everybody around them know it.more
