Exclusive Mirror's Edge downloadable jumps to PS3, min PC specs revealed photo

With erroneous rumors circulating that DICE's upcoming first-person action platformer Mirror's Edge would be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, a few of you may be wondering what's going on. Thankfully, Sony has cleared things up with Eurogamer

"There was a misunderstanding," a spokesperson told them. "PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with [Electronic Arts] regarding his title."

This likely mean we'll be seeing a lot of PlayStation 3-branded Mirror's Edge commercials, trailers, and posters. But there's more: the spokesperson also revealed that the PS3 will be getting exclusive downloadable content via the PlayStation Network.

It seems like this is just another reason for those of us who have multiple consoles to play it on the PS3; DICE has been forthcoming in revealing that Sony's console has been the lead development SKU for title. It looks like all of this is pointing to the PS3 have the uh, edge, when it comes to Mirror's Edge.

Yeah, that was bad, wasn't it? Oh, and for you PC gamers, hit the jump for the min specs for Mirror's Edge via bit-tech.

CPU: Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz / Athlon 64 2800+
RAM: 1GB
GPU: GeForce 6 Series with 256MB VRAM or higher, or ATI X1650 (or HD2400)

I still think this game will make me sick while playing it. I never have gotten sick from a game before, but just watching some of the videos made me a bit dizzy.

Bravo Sony, you've finally managed to get me to buy a cross-platform game for PS3.

Wow, those are pretty low minimum requirements. I can almost play this on my 5 year old pc! My new one should melt it like butter.

Hmm...with PC specs that low, I'm tempted to buy it for the PC as apposed to PS3. I am in desperate need of PS3 games though. Good news all round I suppose.

Watch the recommended specs be something close to Crysis specs...

I would laugh, cry, and pee my pants at the same time.

Who here actually buys a lot of DLC for existing games? I'm not talking about PSN or XBLA DLC but DLC that's supposed to add to existing games.

The only DLC I've bought is the Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack and that's it.

I actually surprised that I'll be able to run that on my laptop... But I'll be playing it on the PS3. I would have bought it for the PS3 anyway, because I honestly don't believe the 360 version will look as good anyway. Exclusive content is just icing for me, because I honestly almost never download the content offered for games unless it's free.

I'll probably get it for PS3(like most multiplatform games), but it looks like it could run on my PC.

@TorpedoTed
It's Unreal Engine 3.

@GeneralWong

I think you are the 1st person I have seen to say that this game looks bad!

I'm excited for it and will be grabbing it on my PS3 (most likely) unless the PC version has better visuals/smoother...etc
well it might be $10 cheaper so that will sway me as well..lol

Would get the PC version, but since I want it to be as fluid as possible, I'll get the 360 version. No frame rate spikes.

Hopefully.
