EVO 2013 has come and gone, and with it records have been smashed. Twitch.TV has informed us there were record breaking viewership numbers for multiple games. The max concurrent viewership for the day was 144,848 people for Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Super Smash Bros. Melee brought in roughly 134,000 viewers, and Street Fighter IV topped at around 125,000.

Matthew DiPietro, VP of Marketing at Twitch.TV, told us that this year's viewership numbers were all in all "nearly 50% higher than last year's EVO, which was the previous record holder. In terms of uniques, 1.7 million tuned in during the course of the weekend."

Congrats, EVO. Can't wait for this show to reach stadium levels. The full list of winners plus finals matches can be viewed here.
