Since we first play the title at this year's E3, we haven't run out of good things to say about Jonathan Mak'sEveryday Shooter. I do have something to say about Jonathan's mail provider, though -- that dude's inbox is all kinds of full!
And it's about to blow up even more, because once people get their hands on Everyday Shooter as part of this Thursday's PlayStation Network update, he's going to get mountains of love notes from gamers. The title will be available for $10 this Thursday, and based on the little we've played of it, it seems like a good use of your cash.
But if you're still not sold, stick around for our full review, which we should have up not too long after the game's release. In the meantime, kick back and just watch the trailer ... over and over again.
I want a PS3 now. How could they do this to me? There's no way I can afford it, yet here's this awesome dinky little $10 game, and I'm going to have to shell out $600 somehow for this.
I agree with Dexter...the sound, uh, sounds awesome — I wish I had a surround sound setup, because (assuming the game supports it; I’m pretty sure all PS3 games do 5.1 sound) I’m sure it would sound really cool. I wonder if the game just goes on forever, or if there is an end...because if it’s too short, then I might not want to spend $10 on it. Then again, it does look really cool...
I really like the organic gameplay, the emeny spreading out, growing and defending itself against intruders (you). Would like to see more development of the players ship and weapons over time as well, are those dots he's hoovering up just health or do they lead to better weapons/ship etc.
@bronx, it will have an end, because each level has a different objective, it's not just the same level over and over with new backgrounds and more baddies, it's actually more than just some shallow shooter, and that is why I think this game is the balls.
btw, when this game was debuted at gdc (I think it was '06) before he got picked up by sony, he was running it on a 360.
This was the first game that I've literally gaped at both atristically-wise and gameplay-wise. I watched the trailer about a billion times since i first downloaded it a few weeks ago.
Had no idea it was coming out this thursday though, it actually gives me something to look forward to on ths weeks PSN update.
Having a PS3 actually seems a little bit more worthwhile now.
Damn cool. 10 bucks is kinda high, but you gotta support Jonathan and independent developers.
YES
I must own the leaderboards.
This is what Sony needs to do. They need more releases on their PSN network so we don't have to pay $60 for every game.
That is nothing short of amazing.
Good to see that Sony's supporting projects like this.
Sony's PSN stuff is actually quite awesome.
There's a fucking LocoRoco game on there. It's not very deep, but it's LocoRoco.
It's about time. I've been craving that game since e3 for chrissakes.
Crap. Fuck. CRAPFUCK.

I hate you, innovative developers. I hate you.
looks like poo poo, but people are telling me its supposed to look that way, so whatever
Dude, like this game is going to be soooo awesome when you're totally like high as a kite, man.
Wow, that looks awesome.
So it's like Rez and Robotron got drunk one night, fooled around, and nine months later this game came out?
I'm intrigued.
While the gameplay looks pretty familiar, I really dig the sound direction in this. I think it's one of this game's main draws.

Do want. Do not want ps3.
For the first time, I'm sad that I don't own a PS3.
Quick, someone make a crappy knock-off flash version.
Why has this taken so long?
I care because the game rocks - literally.
