We at Destructoid kind of have a fetish with the Super Mario Bros. movie. After all, we think it's one of the most underappreciated masterpieces of all time. Even in book form too! It's just one of those movies that's so bad, it's good.
Dtoider PeZ, undoubtly knowing that we love this horrible movie so much, posted the promotional video on the making of the movie. The video is broken up into three parts and like all promotional videos, it tries to show off just how great the movie is. Even Bob Hoskins talks about how much he loves working on the movie. Nevermind the fact that years later, Bob Hoskins said how working on the movie was a "f*cking nightmare!" Sadly, Dennis Hopper doesn't make an appereance on this making of video, probably since he regretted working on the movie too.
Hit the jump for the two more parts to this video, a look at how Yoshi was made, and one of the worst music videos you will ever see during your entire existance on Earth.

The making of the Super Mario Bros. movie part two. There's a music video placed in the middle of this, and just like the movie, it's totally cringe worthy too.
The making of the Super Mario Bros. movie part three. It's amazing seeing how much special effects have changed in just 16 years. And yes, the guy speaking at the 3:06 mark really said YAshi instead of Yoshi. Jackass.
Speaking of Yoshi, here's Yoshi naked!
Bonus: EVERYBODY WALK THE DINOSAUR! Seriously, what the fuck did I just watch here?
Still, those vids are pretty funny.
Hold on, I take that back.
The whole "Bomb-omb panic!" was pretty lulz-y.
How horribly wrong we were.
There are honestly no funny parts of this movie - unintentional, intentional or otherwise. Sad, because Hopper is the man.
Pabst Blue Ribbon!
I don't see why you guys like it so much... I'd rather just watch The Goonies, or They Live. fuck, even The Wizard would be more entertaining to watch (for the purpose of making fun of it)
I suppose we won't ever get a good Video Game Movie.
