I remember trying out EQ back in College and instantly getting adicted to it... My only saving grace was my lack of moneyz, but it learned me to NEVER start an MMO again...
I was stayin in my student-city for a weekend and a mate gave me access to his account and left for his weekend at home... Suddenly he's standing next to me again... It's sunday evening and I've been playing since Friday-evening without sleeping...
I vowed never to start playing an MMO except for beta's, so far it has worked out ok :-D

I am completely dumbfounded by the attitude that MMO's are addicting. Much like with drugs, I strongly believe it's the PEOPLE who have addictive personalities, not the things they latch onto themselves. I've been an MMO fan for decades and have played many-an-MMO, but when it gets old, I *easily* move on.

Man, I can remember being so addicted to EverQuest as a kid. Dark times in ny life, dark... dark times...
Ahhhh Everquest. The only MMO I ever really tried to play. I mean, I've tried a few others, but they don't grab me really. Whatevs, pretty awesome its still going.
