Europe receiving R&C: A Crack in Time Collector's Edition photo

A Collector’s Edition version of Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time is coming to participating European retailers.

Revealed this morning on the official European PlayStation blog, the Collector’s Edition has a few Ratchet & Clank-themed treats for those with the necessary clink in their pockets. Coming in a lenticular-fronted foldout package, the edition contains an artbook containing exclusive Insomniac art, SCEE Product Manager Kevin Smyth’s foot, and a voucher for a bit of European exclusive content called the “Discovery Package.”

Discovery Package, in particular, sounds like a blast for any budding Insomniac stalker. The DLC lets players fool around in a level that “resembles” the studio’s office, which by the way, we heard was pretty dope. Built like a museum, the level will have a smattering of content that didn’t make it into the final product.

A Crack in Time hits October 27th.

I am pretty jealous of EU for getting the special packaging, but you can get the sweet Discovery Package (the best part imo) in the US if you pre-order R&C at Gamestop.

Will that weird shaped disk fit in the drive?

I'm jealous of the special packaging too. It is ultimately useless to me but I'm still jealous. I guess I'll pre-order at Gamestop to get the Discovery package, though. I love these games. Now they just need to make a Jak and Daxter on the PS3. I don't own a PSP so the newest game on that system is dead to me. Dead.

That's cool except for the "Exclusive Discovery Pack"

That's Gamestop's pre-order bonus out of the like 5 retailers that have different bonuses. And if you wanna give a rough idea of what the level is just link to a video of the Insomniac Museum in Up Your Aresenal. That's essentially what you're gonna get, just filled with new character models and commentary

@ 20 Sided.

If you have a backwards-compatable PS3 they're releasing it on a PS2 disc as well.

Cool, I'll likely get this over the normal version.
