When I think of series that I'd want rereleased on current gen systems, PoP weirdly isn't one of them.
This does it, does Sony have something agenst America, all of there promotions, Deals, and now games. Is it because we made the xbox? First you offer +, but then remove most of the resons for having it (betas anyone!) this shit has have to stop!
Now y'all know how it feels when, many times, America gets something decent that we don't.

@Ace- like what?(game wise). I know Germany gets there stuff milk down or none at all, but I haven't heard anything in the other countries?
Strangely, this was a series that I tried but could never get into. I played every iteration but The Two Thrones, including the recent releases, but aside from the old PC version and the initial Sands of Time, I couldn't help but get a distinct feeling of "meh" from the series.
Sucks for PoP fans, though. Hopefully Ubi will bring it over for them.

Here's my thoughts on "why".
Other then Ubisoft being retarded. They probably figure "Hey. In the US Xbox has sold almost twice as many units as the PS3. There are barely any PS3's in America. In Europe though they are neck and neck in sales, we have a better chance of making money!"

I hope they fixed the glitches from Warrior Within. Of all of the three I never finished that one for that reason.
I'm not sure I feel I'm missing much aside from the HD, I can just pop in the games on my GameCube again.

I love the idea of "Collections". Heck, even yesterday, I was thinking about other Playstation 2 games they could make into collections. I'd pick this up since I've never played Sands of Time. I honestly don't care much about the 3D.

I have been playing these games in "HD" for years now. Actually in resolutions much higher than the native 720p these will run at.
It amuses me that they are charging for a re-release simply to up the resolution and maybe add some AA and AF. Those are standard PC features.

I was thinking the same thing velvet. I'm curious though it perhaps they clean things up enough to warrant a new pc release too.
Certainly better than the 540p the 360 would run them at.

As someone who always struggled to buy the compilation for the PC.. well there is my solution. Coming from Germany (with an almost empty and uninteresting PSN Store), this makes me happy. I'm looking forward to it.
But I think my purse isn't... at least these HD remakes (God of War, ICO & SoC, PoP) aren't that expensive.

Everyone from the US has no right to whine about this sort of thing because it's one of the rare times Europe gets thrown a bone. You lot honestly amaze me sometimes; you get practically every other game either first or second, and when one game comes along just for Europe, you start badmouthing the publisher/developer.
Put yourself in the shoes of a European gamer; we don't get all the games you do. And sometimes, when we do get them, it's ages after you do. For example, Japan and America get Kirby's Epic Yarn in two weeks. When does Europe get it?

@Gilgamesh1317 Not to mention that it took us FIFTEEN YEARS to get a local release of this game called "Chrono Trigger" that everyone was going on about. In fact, let's add the fact that pretty much every notable SNES RPG was put in the 'too hard' basket for PAL.

I'd get this, if Sands of Time (the only one worth a damn) wasn't backwards compatible on 360.

Sands of Time was one of the best games of its generation. At least back then, it's platforming was unique, the back and forth dialogue of the Prince and Farah was entertaining and kept you engaged in the story. The combat was just okay, but it was extremely satisfying whenever you got to pull off that super where he teleports to each enemy and one-shots 'em. Looking forward to this one.
The Sands of Time trilogy is awesome, all three of them have their own vibe and innovations and I personally like Warrior Within the best (the gameplay improvements are substantial).

Games are usually released here a week or more after the US relase. Castle Crashers hasnt even been released in Europe yet.
We cant rent any movies, we dont have Japanese import ps1 games plus everything costs alittle more.
I usually bought all my stuff from the US-shop cause it got there early and was cheaper. Now i cant anylonger because it seems they have put a restriction up for other countries. I only get a error message telling me im not connected to the internet.
If this game costs £29.99 in Sweden, that will be amazing. Standardprice for a game here is 90$ wich is insane. Im guessing this will be more like 60$ though.
I usually import games from US instead, even with the shippingcosts i can get 2 games from US cheaper then one game here. Insane.
But yeah.. Europe has it better
