The Metal Gear Online MEME expansion will contain three new maps and two new characters, and it will come to Europe on November 25. We have yet to hear about North American dates on the expansion.
In this expansion, Mei Ling and Liquid Ocelot will be playable. Three maps -- Silo Sunset, Winter Warehouse, and Forest Firefight -- will be available, as will a new 'no headshot' selectable setting. Also, a new 'interval' setting allows online practice and chat that will not affect online rankings.
Liquid Ocelot enters the fray with the ability to manipulate the Sons of the Patriots’ lock system using his Guns of the Patriots skills, and can also deactivate the weaponry of a targeted for within Metal Gear Online’s multi-player modes. Similarly, Mei Ling comes into play with three unique attributes, including the Trench Mortar weapon, Soliton Sonar capabilities, and the means to transfix enemies.
Other additions include a new tournament lobby, the Crocodile Cap and Ghillie Suite camo custom items from MGS3, and even an afro hair style.
Europe will be able to download this for 7,99 Euro on November 18th, but it can't be used until the 25th. As for North Americans, I'm sure you'll hear something soon.
For now, check out the screenshots in our gallery.
I didn't know Ron Workman was going to be a playable character.
Apparently there's also gonna be a game mode called All Your Gears.
No headshots? I'm in.
I remember I tried to download/buy the 1st expansion about 50 times over a months period. I gave up and have not touched the game since.
This expansion sounds kinda cool though.
Resistance 2 Online kinda makes MGO news feel a bit unimportant. Of course, I need to go back and try it again. Maybe its better than I remember.
In a shocking turn of events, Konami screws America, giving Japan and Europe MEME, but with no word on the American release.
Actually, now I'd expect America to also get it on the 25th because there's also going to be that 1 million users celebration thing starting on the 25th worldwide. Yeah, something tells me there's a correlation there...must be...
For some reason when I see the title "Metal Gear Online MEME" LA-LI-LU-LE-LO pops into my head.
Memes are more than internet jokes. Consider that a lesson from MGS2 if you didn't learn anything else.
