PlayStation 3 owners in the UK have been enjoying the demo since before the new year, but today Sega has announced that a demo for Bizarre Creations' The Club will make its way to the Xbox 360 tomorrow. The catch? It's only been announced for download in Europe and Australia. Everyone else can eat it.
The special "Renwick" version of the demo will feature one playable character named (surprise!) Renwick, a "tough, no nonsense, NYPD Detective whose investigations brought him too close to The Club." Playable in one environment (The Prison), players can try out two of the game's single-player modes, "Sprint" and "Time Attack," and if they have any friends, can check out the game's multiplayer split-screen options.
No word on when we'll see the demo in North America, but those swanky Brits have been sitting on the PS3 version of the demo (which has yet to hit our shores) for a few weeks now. Word has it we should see the demo soon over here, which will hopefully be before The Club's February 7 release date.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

I read about this game a while ago. It seemed like a cool concept then but I don't know what kind of changes it has undergone.
Why do I want to play this demo so bad when all it will do is let me down?
Don't worry, I'm sure it'll be horrible.
So what is the game about anyway? Some kind of club?
Now we have, we get one film from 2007...
Our XBL doesn't work matey ;)
Its good to come first for once, albeit for a game that, at this point in time, I don't really have any interest.
America: "....stfu"
The Club actually looks pretty cool, its like they're doing for shooters what Project Gotham did for Racing, and though it's not exactly a revolution, atleast it'll be something fun and different.
The character's controls surprised me at first - they're very smooth, with no bob whatsoever, the targeting reticule is always the same size, enemies just pop out, there are pick ups lying about and you just run around the level following big signs and shooting twats in the face.
Try to think of the game like a moving gallery, where you're running through it, ignoring cover and just aiming to headshot everything irregardless of damage. You're goal is to make sure the combo counter on the top right of the screen stays up high so that every kill scores you more points - when it starts "bleeding" out you need to kill more people to prolong the score chain.
It's an arcade game really and it definitely reeks of Sega.
After playing for an hour or so, I'm not sure if it'll really have any lasting value to it is simply a run n gun shooter - and that's it. It doesn't, from the time I've had with it, even bother attempting to be anything else.
Graphically, it's not that advanced, using pretty flat textures and the kind of basic cannon fodder enemies you'd expect. The sound wasn't as clean as I'd have liked either.
I'm not saying it's a bad game but it definitely takes some getting used to.
Yay for demos!
