Eternity's Child coming to PCs via Steam next month photo

Why should WiiWare get all of the love? Eternity's Child developer Luc Bernard has revealed that the independent title will also be coming to PCs via Steam, as well as Nintendo's digital platform.

The Steam version of Eternity's Child will see a number of enhancements, including support for high resolutions. Most importantly, Luc says the game will see frequent updates to its content, depending on the public's response to the title.

"Let's put it this way," he writes in his Destructoid community blog, "once you've finished the game, it won't be over yet. We will update it from time to time with new scenarios and worlds."

Eternity's Child should be available on Steam next month for $4.99. The developer has also expressed interest in bringing the title to Xbox LIVE Arcade, but has reached out to Microsoft with little luck.

"The great guys at Microsoft don't seem to want to reply to my emails," he bitterly writes.

As for the planned WiiWare version, Luc says that's "up to [his] publisher to decide when they want to release it."

I wish Microsoft would reply. But how would it be controlled?
Either way good for Luc.

It's good to see this game coming to multiple platforms. Chances are I'll be getting this on Steam.

Cool. I think I'll wait to see a review or two first, though.
Let's say I'm cautiously optimistic.

MS will probably respond once the Steam and Wiiware versions are out, if they do well.

I seem to remember some harsh comments wer made about the Xbox file size limits when it moved to Wii production. I guess MS doesn't feel like they want haters on their service?

I hope Luc Bernard is planning on a steam release of Imagination is the only escape.

I'll prolly go for Wiiware, the wii boots quicker than my PC so I find it better for shorter games. Unless its much cheaper on steam.

MS needs to pick this up for live. They need more games like this.

Steam is the way to go, for me anyway. And I can handle 5 bucks :D

Good call on going to Steam. Hopefully this will even help boost sales of the WiiWare version.

No special hopes for this, but hell, I'll try it for $5.

@brainderailment: Have you seen the gameplay? The early build was so embarrassingly bad, I'm not surprised Microsoft isn't interested.
