Eternal Sonata PS3 comes out tomorrow, with enhanced story and more

Eternal Sonata, despite a few elements that I wished could have been a little better, was one of my favorite RPGs of last year, so hearing that the PS3 version would feature goodies such as new playable characters and new outfits was cool ... but not quite cool enough to make me go out and buy the game a second time. However, the  US localization specialist, Stephanie Fernandez, has shared some new details about the game with PlayStation blog, and it seems the story itself has undergone some modifications:

"When I started working on Eternal Sonata for the PS3, I was pleased to find out there would be additional story material incorporated into the game that is unique to the platform. I had always felt there were some aspects of the story which might be a little too vague for anyone who didn’t have the advantage of the background knowledge that I had about the story. But now there are scenes that give the game player a little more insight; scenes that reveal a bit more general information about the concept behind the story and more specific details regarding character motivations."

I have to admit, that does pique my interest, along with the new dungeons. I probably won't jump at the bit and buy it immediately as there's so much other good stuff out there right now (I'm frozen in the clutches of Dead Space!), but I think I may want to pick it up and play through for the new stuff in the long run.
