It's been ages since we had a good ESRB rating story, but America's guardians have delivered the goods once more. As usual, we've got a rating for an M-rated game and, as usual, it makes said game sound delightful ... in a kind of psychopathic way. So, how will Resident Evil 6 traumatize us?
"Battles contain realistic gunfire, screams of pain, and exaggerated blood splatter effects; some attacks result in dismemberment or decapitation (e.g., slowly inserting a monster's body into a rotating fan blade)," reads the squicky summary. "Cutscenes also depict intense acts of violence: a zombie getting stabbed in the head; characters getting pummeled/impaled by monsters."
That's not all! Read on below for the (spoiler-ish) reveal of a previously unknown boss. It involves spiders getting sexy, because that's not horrifying in any way! "One female boss character (a human-spider hybrid) is depicted nude -- though without any discernible details (i.e., no nipples or genitalia); during one attack move, she briefly caresses her breasts while straddling on players' character. The words 'f**k' and 'sh*t' can be heard in the dialogue."
Fantastic! Sex and every single nightmare you've ever had -- together at last!
Here is the full rating, for your viewing displeasure:
This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of characters caught up in a worldwide viral outbreak.
As players navigate intersecting storylines, they use machine guns, shotguns, melee weapons, and explosives to kill mutated zombie creatures in frenetic combat. Battles contain realistic gunfire, screams of pain, and exaggerated blood splatter effects; some attacks result in dismemberment or decapitation (e.g., slowly inserting a monster's body into a rotating fan blade).

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has announced that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be ported to PC, something many of us desperately wanted but didn't realistically expect to happen given developer Platinum Games' history... Finally! Nintendo announced today that PlatinumGames title Wonderful 101 will be coming to the Wii U on September 15th. The game came under some fire recently for being touted as a "short" experience, but I personally can't wait, as PlatinumGames rarely misses.
Oh, and it totally has waterslides. [Update: Poll CLOSED! Wii U dominated. Look forward to our review soon.
Update: MAJOR upset! It has come to light that a PC copy WILL be made available for review purposes, and will be added as a late starter in the poll. A P...

Jordan and I have started a new game in our Couch Campaign, and it's one that I have been excited to play since we first began talking about the project. As a huge fan of the Fallout franchise and a lover of top-down, exploration shoot-em-up games, the pairing of the two could have been glorious. And Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is, provided you think train wrecks can be glorious. Speaking to Destructoid at a pre-E3 event, Konami's Dave Cox disclosed that (wait for it) Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is the most successful Castlevania game to date, even surpassing the massive sales of games from 1997 on. ... Well, it's been a series of ups and downs (that could have all been avoided if the Auction House was taken down), but Diablo III is now one year old. To celebrate, Blizzard is adding 25 percent extra Magic Find and experience...
