ESRB reminds us that Eye of Judgment is coming to PSP photo

The ESRB has rated Eye of Judgement: Legends for the PlayStation Portable, and that reminds us -- that game's coming out!

While not officially announced for North America, the PSP adaptation of Sony's PlayStation Eye card game is set to hit the portable in Europe and Japan early next year. The game shuns the use of physical cards, instead packing all of the available PS3 cards onto the PSP, along with 30 new cards downloadable via PlayStation Network.

No word on whether the North American release will be timed alongside Europe's early 2010 launch, but this rating makes it likely we'll see it sooner rather than later.

Cool! I was always interested in getting this, but I can never find it sans the camera (which I already have).

Getting it on PSPS with all cards will save me downloading them ;)

So how does this game play out? It almost looks like Triple Triad from FFVIII.

...Wasn't the draw of the first game having the physical cards?

The drew of the first game was apparently having neither real friends or internet friend with which to play the game. The concept of sitting at a table alone with a camera to play cards with someone else across the world (if at all) was a rather depressing concept.

Physical cards just amplified its depressing concept. You were better off teaching a real life friend how to play the game without even turning the PS3 on.

All the stuff I searched on it claims "better than Triple Triad" - I have my doubts about that. Triple Triad was a pretty robust minigame with several rulesets that varied from challenger to challenger. To top it all off, you couldn't really play.FFVII without mastering Triple Triad.

I disagree, it's actually one of my most played online games on the PS3, it's got a great community and I frequently play it with both offline and online friends. The camera interaction is somewhat gimmicky but holding together this gimmick is a well balanced tactical game.

I suggest you try the game, it's surprisingly fun and yes - better than triple triad (which if you enjoyed almost cements a fundamental enjoyment of EoJ).
