As well as Super Punch Out!!, the ESRB has spilled details on some brand new games as well. This one, Hospital Hysteria: Emergency Ward, is heading to the PC and Wii, so I'm sure you can all pretty much imagine what this one is going to entail.
"This is a strategy game in which players earn money for treating a steady stream of walk-in patients at a hospital," states the ESRB summary. "Treatments include brief, over-the-top animations of patients being zapped in an X-ray machine, being soaked in green fluid during skin treatment, and getting folded in half inside an infirmary bed. The expletive "hell" is used during one of the treatments."
So basically, this is Theme Hospital, but doubtless made easier and pumped full of waggle for the "casual" crowd. No information has been given on a publisher, and nothing's been announced anywhere else, as far as we can see.
This game will not be as good as Theme Hospital, however, because I can be pretty damn sure there won't be any Bloaty Head disease in it.

Woah. What kind of super power does this guy have? Time and space travel? Mind reading? Perhaps he can astral project himself into the developer's rooms as they work on the title. Either way, I certainly wish I had the ability to know the quality of a game immediately and only after simply hearing the name and system it's for.

But you're right - I have absolutely no actual evidence to support my prediction. And yet I make it anyway.
Wow. I mean.. ah, you know what, man? I'm not going to make fun of you for that one. I'll be nice this one time. If you really think that way then you're seriously missing out on a plethora of excellent Wii titles. If you have a dusty Wii, you have no excuse. There is a ton of fun to be had on the waggle system and I don't want to world of people who claim to be "hardcore" to miss out just because they assume it only has party games that are meant for families. The only thing the PS3 or 360 has more of is online shooters. The Wii has more fighters, shmups, and platformers to make up for that.
I'm curious about this game since I had such a great time with "Theme Hospital" but I'm afraid this will end up as a lame ripoff of that... I sure hope it won't be so I can dust of my wii once more, but I won't get too exited either :-)
@Kaironn - The reason why I said "possibly" is because I'm not a retarded fanboy that thinks he KNOWS what games will and won't be good simply by the title.
Do I KNOW The Conduit, MadWorld, House of the Dead: Overkill, Monster Hunter 3, Dragon Quest X, FFCC games, Muramasa, Deadly Creatures, Fatal Frame IV, Boom Blox 2, No More Heroes 2, Punch Out Wii, and Sin & Punishment 2 are going to be great games? No, but I have high hopes and a good instinct that tells me "yes, they will".
360 and PS3 games are great. They really are. I love most of them. Though, most of the popular games on them I tend to play on my PC. There are quite a few exceptions, obviously. I own Rise of the Ninja, Lost Odyssey, and plan on grabbing Fable 2 here soon. On the PS3 I'm planning on renting a copy of Valkryia Chronicles soon enough as well.
Thanks for the shout out. ;) Each console has their strengths and weaknesses and that all three have some freakin' awesome games that give each a reason to be enjoyed, which is why I won't bash any console. The fanboys just don't get that.
Lately I've been putting a boatload of time into Saints Row 2 on my PS3. (I know it's also on 360/PC, but I rented it on the PS3, loved it, and figured that I'd just use my save file since PS3/360 are the same price.) But I also proudly have No More Heroes, Okami, and Zack and Wiki on the same shelf.
The Wii has a lot of reasons to be loved, now and in the future. (Come on, MadWorld!) Hysteria Hospital, I fear, doesn't sound like it will be one of them, but I'm not going to pass judgment on it until it's out.
