It's been long enough since the last Unreal Tournament that I'd say hell yeah, we could use another one of those right about now. Epic Games VP and co-founder Mark Rein has taken to Twitter today to hype up "the future of Unreal Tournament." He says all will be revealed next Thursday at 2:00pm Eastern on Twitch.tv/UnrealEngine. What could this be, exactly?
Perhaps the series is going free-to-play with a new installment. Or Epic has tapped another studio to work on the property. Or an honest-to-goodness, full-fledged Unreal Tournament is coming.
I don't know, but here's a clue. Rein went on to say that "What you need to know is in this tweet" by Epic's Paul Meegan, which reads "UE4 Dev Community + Epic. The future of Unreal Tournament."
