Also, Brenda Smith1, do you have what we humans call thoughts and emotions?
Way to see the negative in a very positive turn of events. Ostensibly Rhode Island will be selling the IP and Epic may have the wherewithal to purchase it.
That was my first thought, and it makes total sense; the sale of the Amalur IP would benefit all parties involved.
To be honest I'm not really broken up about that thought. KoA had great lore, really good art, and a great combat system the game itself fell apart in nearly ever other aspect though. It was easily one of Salvatore's worst stories and the game was so easy that the combat never felt satisfying. I've never burned out so quickly on a game I looked forward to as much as that one. The Amalur universe has a lot of potential but it is what it is.
Almost gives me hope for big name developers.
Almost.
Seems like a good buy actually.
@Nephilym: That's the epic ip I thought of too. I shall be holding out hope for a Jazz the Jackrabbit open world RPG/Platformer though.
What do you expect from Stealth? He never has anything nice to say. I think we should all dress like Pokemon and give him a group hug. With our wangs out, of course.
I have quite the dislike for Epic games
But I love big huge games for their Rise of Nations/Legends
But atleast they do have a job, which is fantastic, because it prevents them from being homeless. And they can still make games. Although I get the feeling it wont be an RTS.
I'm not sure what to think of this.
But Rhode Island's asking price for the Amalur lore is probably waaaaaay too high. Which is depressing because no one will buy it from them when it's so much cheaper to make your own lore.
