A female community member's skeptical analysis of the debacle

One of this year's most notable gaming controversies was undoubtably Tropes vs. Women, a Kickstarter campaign that drew both ire and defense from nearly every corner of the gaming community. Destructoid interviewed Anita Sarkeesian and debated the topic back in July extensively, so imagine our surprise to find this Reddit thread making the rounds this weekend.

For those that missed it, I wanted to republish Elsa's comment as its own story for further comment and discussion as an experimental weekend blog post. If you dig it, we'll be looking for more epic comments from our community to bring forward on the home page.
