Entire Twilight Princess soundtrack available (Update) photo

This past Friday I moved offices and finally got the chance to hang up my Zelda history poster that I got from Club Nintendo. Instantly one of my co-workers started humming the Zelda theme, and it basically went around the office like a virus. I tell this story to illustrate how iconic the music behind the Zelda games is, and hopefully emphasize how cool it is to be able to download the entire Twilight Princess soundtrack for free over at Zelda Informer. That's 183 tracks taken straight from the game and its trailers.

The site, which talks way too much about Zelda for any sane individual, has just opened up their music section and is planning on putting up the soundtracks for every Zelda game at two week intervals. Next on the list is Ocarina of Time and then A Link to the Past. I'm definitely looking forward to Ocarina as it had some of the best music in the series. I'm also hoping that in the very near future they put everything in a single downloadable file, because it sucks individually.

And just to stir up the comments: Twilight Princess is a good game. Stop hating.

Update: You can download it in one big pack now. Have fun!

Not my favorite, but still a good game. It just dragged on too long in a few places.

I'm actually partial to Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening.

How could anyone not like Twilight Princess it's one of the best Zelda games ever. Of course nothing can beat Majora's Mask.

@Superdance- I thought I was alone! I think all of them are great, but I never felt more of a scene of accomplishment in a Zelda game then beating that. I never beat the others though >> << I think if they did more with the concepts in WW that would've been my favorite.

Anyhow, woo! Soundtrack is excellent.

Some Zelda Fans:

Majora's Mask sucks because it's not enough like Ocarina of Time

Wind Waker sucks because it isn't enough like Ocarina of Time, and it is too cartoony.

Twilight Princess sucks because it's too much like Ocarina of Time, and it's too realistic.

Skyward Sword sucks because it is too much...............IT'S NO EXACTLY LIKE OCARINA OF TIME!!!

@ NoMore - Well, I don't really like running through giant, empty fields...and personally I thought the bosses were kind of boring. That's why! Not that Twilight Princess is my least favorite Zelda or anything, I just didn't like it as much as others.

TP definitely had some good music...but is this legal? >_>

@Drybones, I'm intentionally not watching any trailers for Skyward Sword. If I have no hyped up opinion on the game, I can't be let down (as much) when it comes out.

But yeah, Zelda fans are the worst games fans in the world, except for Sonic fans. Too much nostalgia.

I would care if I didn't have to get each song individually. Will wait on the whole thing being downloadable at once.

To me, Twilight Princess was a great game, but the only real challenge was the Cave of Ordeals. I much prefer Wind Waker though, as I loved the sailing (a bit like marmite to fans), and I prefered the seord combat in WW, aswel as the look and the music.

I think Wind Waker's the best but I always liked Twilight Princess because I *GASP* liked all of the games. It was OoT but newer and with more bells and whistles AKA what everyone was asking for after Majora's Mask and Wind Waker but then proceeded to hate on.

No offence of course to those that always disliked OoT. At least you guys had an excuse.

@Razak and SuperDance

Oh but don't worry my fellow Twilight Princess fans as a new game is coming out soon. Therefore Twilight Princess will be recognised by all the Zelda fans as the best game in the series that no one appreciated at the time of release and Skyward sword will be the next one that they all pretend doesn't exist until that gets a sequel.

And the cycle continues.

@All the idiots before me:

Why does every Zelda post have to degenerate into which one everyone thinks is the best? GTFO with that shit. Everyone knows the best Zelda game is the lastest one to come out. /End-of-discussion.

I honestly think that Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is my favorite Zelda game...But Wind Waker is probably in the running too. I love the whole style of Wind Waker, the soundtrack was AMAZING, and I really dug the characterization they gave Ganondorf.

Link's Awakening is just proof that handheld versions of console games can be as great as or even superior to their stationary brethren. Plus Ballad of the Windfish is the best. Period.

I agree 100%, hands down my favorite zelda game to date. I loved the art direction they took with it. Sorta iffy on whether or not I'll end up a fan of skyward swords art style yet but I haven't met a Zelda game I haven't liked (except the second one..... and maybe the one on the CDi)

or you could go to ZREO Music and download their reorchestrated collection of various Zelda game soundtracks. Seriously those guys are amazing!
Also Majora's mask and Ocarina of Time had the best soundtracks!

also for those of you who are wondering if its legal, if you own the game you own the music thats with it. nothing stops you from recording it yourself ro extracting it.

My favorite is still Oracle of ages. Second is probably Oracle of Seasons. Third favorite is a tie between Link's Awakening, Phantom Hourglass (loved that game!), Twilight Princess, and Wind Waker. Fourth is Minish Cap. Didn't like LttP and OoT for reasons I'm not entirely sure of, and haven't played the others.

Skyward Sword looks pretty cool. I'm still a bit iffy about the art style; it looks good overall, but the moblins, man! The moblins! Then again, I was iffy about Wind Waker's art style, and I love it now, so I'll probably learn to love it. Also Link's beetle falcon thingy looks to be great.

heh, you'd think differently if you actually checked the site, llort het.

Good stuff there! Some of it is unnecessary (ex: I don't need the music for when I pick up Rupees), but there's some good memories associated with a lot of these tunes!

Best memory of Twilight Princess was just galloping through Hyrule Fields on Epona, epic music playing in the background. I sometimes wished there were less enemies, just so the music wouldn't keep getting interrupted.

I don't have any ill will towards Twilight Princess because it was too much or not enough like Ocarina of Time, what ill will I have towards it is because it's a game with an absolutely dead world, with characters who serve as exclamation mark quests instead of characters, and because it has this really awesome story it's dying to tell that got shot down for whatever reason. Probably because it'd be too *serious*, and Nintendo thought Zelda fans would be upset if something wasn't exactly like Ocarina of Time. So they made a game in the middle, and it wasn't great.

The soundtrack, though, especially the songs in the wolf parts, was/were the best part. So this is joyous news.

I thought TP had a rather weak soundtrack compared to most games of the series, although Midna's theme and all variations of it are fucking amazing, seriously, that song that plays after every boss battle is fantastic.

I think it's pretty much inarguable that OoT had the best music. Twilight Princess mainly just twisted the tunes of OoT.

AlttP basically had 6 or so tracks and half of them were awful.

Yeah, only old stuff from my childhood was good! Nothing newer can ever be any good! Down with new stuff!

Sorry, no, TP had a fantastic soundtrack that was easily as good or better than OoT. Deal with it nostalgia whore.
