Very interesting video. I like how every character in a party gets to have a dialogue choice. I wonder how that changes depending on how many characters you have. Also, was that David Hayter voicing the "Nod" character?
This might interest me, because I really don't like MMORPGs due to their lack of engaging story. The gameplay seems like the usual KOTOR. I'll have to try it out before I even consider paying a monthly fee.

I have the digital edition pre ordered, and I've been following the game with excitement for probably a year now. I think it looks like a lot of fun. Its familiar yet different enough that its fresh, for a warcraft expat like myself. Pretty stoked.
@NukaCola The choices work so that once evreryone in the party picks a choice, they all random 100 and whoever is highest is the choice that's presented. However, you are rewarded based on your own choice so you can't get griefed too bad by some jerkoff. And yes, David Hayter voices all the PC male Jedi Knights.
Wow. I have never been impressed by the gameplay or story elements of an MMO but this was very very cool. Consider my interest piqued.
a "dice roll" to see who gets to speak for the entire group? not the best mechanic but somewhat clever

like say if a majority of the group chooses a response then thats the one thats used ... and then if its just a tie then go for the "roll" mechanic

but 1 thing about the morality question ... what if i chose the light side choice even tho the dark side choice was taken
do i still get dark side points? do i get light points? no morality points?

I still don't like this game. The story and characters aren't that engaging. I also don't believe in paying to play a game online for story. The graphics looks like a kids game.

Seeing this in action just makes it seem more ridiculous. The jedis are so underpowered, it's worse than watching SW:TFU. If you're going to let people be jedis, let them be jedis - not projectile throwing, wooden stick flinging pansies. =/
I think the lightsaber should be a reward for reaching the level cap or something, having it so early in the game just makes it look like a useless glowing piece of plastic.
What happened to the early Star Wars aesthetic? The original trilogy's style and music are cultural pillars and none of the prequels or these games honor that legacy.
@ Brian Green. You only get light side/dark side points for whatever YOU pick, not what the group picks.
@ Mattchew. The lightsabers and "underpowered" Jedi are all KOTOR old hats. If you liked KOTOR and could suspend disbelief in favor or top notch story and rpg gameplay, then you will probably like TOR.

Thank Christ I'm not actually a fan of Star Wars. Clearly it would ruin an otherwise engaging looking game for me.
The gameplay and story elements are neat, but I really don't like the look of the game. It looks like they went after the Clone Wars cartoon look which I can't stand. The art style completely puts me off the game.
so how is this an MMO? there are only 4 dudes there, so is it just an overpriced multiplayer KOTOR? WTF? the only MMO I've played was FF11 but shouldn't the whole ship be fighting with actual human players?

Also @Netnavi, this mission is a Flashpoint, which means that it takes place in a separate area in which only your group can go. It would be too hectic to have several groups trying to run the same mission at the same place at the same time. In WoW everyone calls these types of missions Instances.
Its looking damn good. Just can't stomach the subscription fee. Here's to a f2p option in the future.
The story looks interesting, but honestly, the gameplay looks pretty weak. I'd love for this game to end up being great, and I know it'll do well, but it really looks like the combat will get repetitive fast.
If it ends up being awesome, I might get it, but my money's going to Guild Wars 2, and with the incentive of no monthly fees on that game, I'm going to get that game day one.
But hey, Bioware hasn't disappointed me yet (I don't own Dragon Age II, mind you), so I doubt this would as well. We'll see.
