It's amazing that a World War 2 game now seems like a fresh idea, now that shooters have moved to modern battlefields.
you what would be interesting? a shooter where you play as soldiers on
both sides of the conflict. it would be interesting to see both sides humanised rather than having a squad of "good guys" mow down hoards of faceless enemies.

@ God Complex: The next Rainbow Six (Now titled Rainbow "6") will feature gameplay as both the Rainbow Six team and as the homegrown American terrorists that are the enemies in the game.

The game sounds and looks interesting, but this:

Cryengine 3 got my hopes up but then a 360 and PS3 release schedule brought me back to earth, mediocre fps a go!
mmm, those look like bullshots to me. Or at least concept/target renders. Environments look about right but the characters definitely look they they have been illustrated/drawn on top of.

It's 2011, so if its a WWII game AND its an FPS AND it isn't story based in vein of Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers then its garbage.
