Eliza Dushku sat down with MTV News to discuss important celebrity things and got to talking about her recent role as Rubi in A2M's WET. The actress teases about a potential "live-action Dushku vehicle" where we could see Eliza play Rubi on the big screen. This interview also revealed that Eliza likes to talk about herself in the third-person.

Would any of you be interested in seeing a live-action adaptation of WET? Movies based on videogames tend to be garbage, but WET seems like it would lend itself nicely to the big screen.

Also, I would totally ride in the Dushku vehicle. I'd take her for a spin. I'd wash her vehicle at my special car wash. I'd have sex with her is what I'm getting at here.

I don't know anything about the WET game, except for its funny name.
But a restounding yes to movie. Yes.

Okay look I love WET way, way, more than someone who'll readily admit it wasn't the greatest game ever. Seriously I fucking love it.

But I have to wonder how is it all up in the news lately like it blew everyone minds? Movies, sequels, these things are usually left to the uber successful games. I'm all for more grindhouse-esque anything ever but I just wanna know if I missed.

Oh I'm sorry. Were you expecting something about the chick? Maybe somethine sexual? Even witty?

I got nothin'.

I only played the demo of the game and I thought it would be worth a rent. I would totally watch the movie. Eliza is damn sexy.

I wonder if Eliza herself has played Wet? Then again as the most awesome guy her I could totally make her WET!. HAHAH get it...

"Movies based on videogames tend to be garbage, but WET seems like it would lend itself nicely to the big screen."

Ahhh... that's been said countless times, always with the same result.

Wet would probably make a better movie than it does a game. If Eliza the insufferably boring female version of a keanu reaves cyborg is in it though then I imagine it will go straight to entertainment purgatory like every other piece of unwatchable garbage she stars in.

So if they just wanted a movie. Why the hell did they make a game?

As long as we get some better character exposition it could make an excellent Tarentino homage.

Wait, did they base Rubi on her likeness too? 'Cuz damn, she looks just like her.

Oh, and yeah, a movie would be really cool in a mindfuck way. A b-rate grindhouse movie based on a game that's a parody of b-rate grindhouse movies? That's like Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game...

Oh, and I thought that Wet, while definitely flawed, was actually one of the most fun games I've played this year. Hopefully the rumored sequel comes through and we can see it reach it's true potential.

I don't get it either, it was a fairly fun game but nothing ground-breaking; now suddenly we're getting news pretty much every day that there's going to be another game, it'll be a huge franchise, there could be a film... it really doesn't deserve all this. Another game, I can understand. Everything else shouldn't even be considered though until the second game comes out and is better than the first.

I have no problem with films based on games - hell, I own all the Resi Evils, DOA, Street Fighter and Silent Hill on DVD, for my sins - but at least wait more than a month after a game's release before talking about making them.

They wanted to make the game like a movie but they didn't really understand pacing or character development - it'd be hard to make a movie less like a movie then the game so it could potentially work.

@Sneaker Elph

My friend, I believe you just divided by Zero.

I don't know what it is about Eliza Dushku, but she's super delicious.
Maybe its the fact she was my first TV crush way back when Buffy was airing. Maybe it's her voice.
But I'd ride that vehicle non-stop.

Also, WET is pretty cash in a campy Grindhouse shoot'em up Devil May Cry-Lite sorta way.

Hell, why not. WET is basically styled as a grindhouse film anyway. Just one thing... don't let Uwe Boll direct!!!

She didn't age all that well... =/ Could be the lighting and makeup. Or lack of both.

Still a very sexy woman, though. Given that watching the movie wouldn't hurt THAT bad, as I don't really care about the source material, I'm all for it.

Bleh. I can never shake off the fact that this is trying to be Kill Bill. I know I know Tarantino is a huge inspiration, but as a wise man once said "Homage is just a way a person can say "I get to rip off your work"".

One of my good friends has been friends with her since 7th grade. I tried getting my friend to set me up with her. So far, it hasn't worked.

How did the blandness that is Dollhouse not shipwreck her career?

Like I said, Wet has potential, but it needs tweaking.

After enjoying Shoot Em Up, I'd have no problem checking out Wet at the flicks. Eliza could fit the bill, and she hasn't had a good film role for a while. If she could pull it off with La Femme Nakite vibe that would be cool.

Let's face it, if Dollhouse gets canned, she'll need the work, bless her.

as long as tarantino stays away, that would be awesome. the game plays out like a film anyway. they should totally leave in those wierd 50s americana adverts from the loading screens in the film too.
but shit, dushku wouldn't have to act, she'd have to get fit as hell though
oh yeah,
*insert wet knickers joke*
LOL!

It sounds good because that is something new that has never being tried on a movie... Meanwhile, I will be watching Kill Bill Vol 1.

I would watch a film about Eliza Dushku getting WET, I'd ride her live action Dushku vehicle, etc. etc.

VampireChrist: I feel the EXACT way about Jennifer Love Hewitt. Exactly. I was surprised to find out recently that she still has a job.

Eh, why not? It'd just be yet another shitty video game movie that I would likely never watch (in this case because I have no interest in the game from which it would be spawned), but I doubt that it could be much shittier than any other video game movie.

"WET seems like it would lend itself nicely to the big screen."

....because it was horribly derivative of several sub-par movies?

Sorry, but this game was a rental at best. And I turned the scratchy film effect off after about 30 minutes - it was starting to make me feel sick.
