I first gamed on an Atari and C64 with Tanks and Qix. Grew up on Tetris, Mario, Metroid, Zelda, and Contra on the NES and SNES. And then for a while, nothing except for the occasional Mario Kart or Goldeneye session. Later on emulators had me rediscover gaming from the roots up. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time had me fall back in love with gaming. I love seeing games push into new areas of design, story, and art. I'd love to be able to play all the current systems, but money prohibits that, as well as the time I'd need for all those games. These days I really only play on the weekends and here and there during the week, thanks to having a job, a desire to read, and an enjoyment of good bars. But I still love my games.
