Well there isn't much to say really. I'm Alex Sargeant, previously an incredibly occasional contributor to 'TIGSource' who has been studying(ish) Film for the past three years. On this road I learnt that it wasn't really film I was interested in actually devoting the rest of my life towards but rather games. Technically, I learnt this after being so moved at the end of MGS4 I actually saluted my TV.
Yeah, that was pretty weird.
But I realised that I had never felt that kind of thing in films, and though I've certainly been tearful (DAMN YOU GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES!!) I really didn't understand this reaction nearly the same. With this in mind I decided to take what I've learnt in Film and apply these theories, or at least the critical frameworks, to the world of gaming. And so we're here. I'm not quite sure what I'll be using my C-Blog for. Currently I think I'll just be experimenting with some styles of writing to see what happens. I'm thinking of taking a single kind of concept or idea and then try to blog-o-gram it (spider diagram using a blog?) for a while to see how many different ways I can spin a certain angle. Who knows? I'll just play around and see what happens. I might try a monthly musing at somepoint as well.
And just because I have to give you some kind of example of my personality, my favourite games in no particular order;
Onimusha 2
Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner
Planescape: Torment
