I started gaming with the NES, though I had it pretty late into the lifecycle. I was one of the kids stuck with nothing but an NES, GameBoy, and black-and-white TV until the N64 came about. Strangely enough the SNES is probably my favorite console yet.
I'd probably be considered a relatively hard-core RPG Gamer, though I probably haven't played enough different games to be up to par with most. If you believe in the term "mid-core" (a very subjective term) then that's what I probably am. I hold a preference for old school games, but I enjoy plenty of newer titles as well.
I also play pen-and-paper RPG's like Dungeons & Dragons, and strategic board games like Iron Dragon, Risk, and Arkham Horror. Most of my fun comes from video games and trading card games, though, like Magic: the Gathering and The Spoils.
