I won't lie, I've done my fair share of interviews in strange places, however this one takes the cake. In the basement of the Bright Dawn Treatment Center, I had the opportunity to speak with Aubry Norris, product marketing manager for Dementium II.
Although we were almost killed by the electrical firestorm shooting out of the elevator lift, we did get a great deal of information about the squeal to Dementium: The Ward, so be sure to check out the video after the jump, as well as CTZ's preview, to find out more about the game.

As I mentioned yesterday; I'm back with yet another exciting round of interviews for Pandemic's newest title; The Saboteur. This time we spoke with Tom French in order to discuss the game's plot. Until now, I'm sure there have been a few clouds that need to be cleared up, so hit the jump and see what this game's all about. If you're interested in more information about The Saboteur, take a look at our previous video and text interviews, as well as the rest of the news we've found about it.

When I first heard of the unique use of color involved with The Saboteur, I kept a keen eye out for an opportunity to sit down with the art director. I got the opportunity to do just that during my last visit to Pandemic Studios, and fortunately for you guys; I had all my camera equipment on me. If you really want some insight into the unique artstyle of the game, be sure to check out the video after the jump; an interview with Chrostopher Hunt, the art direcor of the title. Stay tuned for our next video, which will be with Tom French, the lead designer of the game, as he tells us a tad more about the story. If you're interested in checking out additional coverage of the game, check out our previous interview which can be found here.

It feels like just yesterday Destructoid was first telling the masses about PlayXPert; an in-game overlay tool designed to put a little less wear on your alt+tab keys. Just recently we got the chance to once again catch up with Charles Manning to see what the company has since been up to. Much to my surprise Charles happily showed off what I believe to be one of the program's finer attributes; the official Destructoid skin! Not to be confused with just any skin you downloaded from Custom Puppy Skin's BlogSpot, this is a full on overhaul of the entire UI, designed to tailor for the every day community member's needs. Don't take my word for it, hit the jump for a video interview to see this thing in action, or just download our special Destructoid version now!

Located on the show floor of GDC 2009, amongst the random booths, famous people, and piles of swag, lies the place where all good Reverend Anthonies go: the independent games booth. Filled with numerous spectacular indie games, many of which appeared to have great potential, one game in particular caught my eye. Of course, it was a children's game, but that's besides the point. Winds of Orbis: An Active-Adventure focuses on getting kids off their rear quarters and onto what appears to be a DDR pad with a few extra buttons. Since it's virtually impossible to describe via text, I'd like to invite you to take a look for yourself, and watch the video after the jump to see what I'm talking about. Even if children's games aren't your thing, you'll definitely want to check out CTZ as he struggles to "read or understand simple suggestions or the way the world works."

On the last day of GDC 2009, we got a chance to talk to John Spinale about OnLive, a technology that, as Anthony Burch once said, "just confuses me in my head." Dedicated to rendering all your high-end graphics for you, OnLive will provide games to those who don't wish to spend $600 on their video cards alone, but still would like to "pwn some n00bs" within the comfort of their own home. Check out the video after the jump to see the service running on its own (in a controlled environment, mind you). Don't forget to let us know what you think, and to check out the rest of our GDC 2009 coverage.

Destructoid's own Ben PerLee got the chance to sit down with Ken Yeeloy, producer with Next Level Games, to talk about their newest remake targeted at the Wii: Punch-Out!!. Discussing everything from what's changed in the series to whether or not they'll be including a multiplayer feature, Ken gave us a big-picture rundown of the game and what Nintendo was trying to accomplish with this release. Check out the video after the jump for the full interview, as well as some hands-on gameplay, and let us know what you think! Also, be sure to check out Reverend Anthony's hands-on impressions.

Literally minutes after Ben PerLee and I hit the floor, we were already knee deep in swag heaven, and it was nearly impossible to keep us from collecting it all. From Midway's cowbells to Insomniac's soap-flavored bubbles, we made sure to squeeze every last bit of swag out on video. Fear not, fellow swag whores. Ben and I were not collecting this swag for ourselves -- we were collecting it for you! Although we haven't quite figured out, let alone disclosed, the full details of the contest, we would like you to take a look at the potential prizes! So sit back and take in the glory of two swag-addicted bloggers as they take to the floor of GDC 2009.

Although there are major game companies showing off their newest titles at this year's Game Developers Conference, it's also a great way to see hardware other than our generic consoles pushing out some new interactive ideas. Circle Twelve has been working hard on their newest project, DiamondTouch. Focusing more on collaborative efforts in the business environment, this technology has also had its fair share of games, giving it the unique ability to entertain children and drunkards alike. Don't take my word for it; check out the video interview with Adam Bouge, president of Circle Twelve Inc., after the jump.

We recently had the opportunity to talk with Tom French, Lead Designer at Pandemic Studios, about the developers newest project, The Saboteur (formerly known as simply Saboteur). Having released their fair share of titles over the years, Pandemic has focused their efforts on releasing unique open-world experiences.
For those that didn't notice the title pop up and vanish almost a year ago, The Saboteur is the studio's most recent open-world title. Set in France during the 1940s, you follow Sean Devlin as he seeks revenge, taking a few Nazis out on his way. But don't take my word for it -- hit the jump for an interview with French.

As regulars at Electronic Arts' Redwood Shores campus, CTZ and I found ourselves behind their doors once again, as we took a look at their newest title, The Godfather II. CTZ has already covered the hands-on for the event; however, I'd invite you all to take a gander at the above video for my interviews with Joel Wade, senior producer, and Michael Perry, creative director. Topics covered varied from building your family to using the "Don's View," to playing the city like a real-time strategy title. But don't take my word for it -- press "play" to see what they had to say about the game, and be sure to check out the hands-on write-up for even more details.

It's not that often I find myself anticipating a game so much as to go to a midnight launch. Unless Steam lets me preload the game and unlock it right at midnight, chances are, I can hold off until the next day. However, not too long ago, I found myself at the GameStop on Powell Street in downtown San Francisco, counting down the hours until the release of the new World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. Surprisingly, it wasn't all underage boys and sleeping bags. To keep the consumers busy (and to keep them from disrupting sidewalk traffic), GameStop brought out all kinds of shenanigans for this launch. With everything from face painting to the Lich King's own throne, they sure had enough things going on to keep even the most ADD-afflicted player at bay. Check out the video to see all the event in action, as well as an interview with the game's Lead World Designer, Alex Afrasiabi.

If you're one of the many people who have always eyed the paintball guns at Wal-Mart but never had the stones (let alone the cash) to purchase one, then you'll be excited to hear that the latest attempt at recreating what it's like to be pelted with paint-filled balls is finally here. CTZ and I had the opportunity to take on professional paintball players from Team Dynasty in both real-life matches, as well as in Activision's newest title, NPPL Championship Paintball 2009. Although they may hold a slight upper-hand to rookies such as us, it was a great experience to play the game sitting next to people that actually know what they're talking about. Check out the video to see their impressions, as well as a few dashing shots of your very own community manager, CTZ, as he lights up the competition on the field.

I'm often reminded just how amazing it is to work for a site such as Destructoid, and this video is hardcore proof that every day my expectations are surpassed. Codemasters decided to fly Dyson and me down to the Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, California, for a day of drifting and hot, smoggy air. We got the chance to sit in the passenger seats of race cars as professional drivers flew us around the track (on what felt like a high speed teacup ride!) to experience how real-life drifting would feel, in an effort to demonstrate just how well they replicated it in the game. Check out the video to see our interview with Brad Schlachter, Senior Marketing Director for Codemasters, to hear about their upcoming release, GRID. You'll also get to see some of the drifting in the game that they spent so much time perfecting. Look for GRID, coming to stores on June 3rd.
