Ever since Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars came out many moons ago, it has been my absolute favorite game of all time, as well as the game I most frequently replay. I try to make it a habit to at least beat the game once a year and it always delights me every time.

One of my favorite things about the game are the boss battles and there was always one in particular, Bundt. I mean seriously, who doesn't love a boss that's made out of cake? Well I do that's for sure, so I made him ... out of cake.  view full story + comments

[E3 community blogging contest winner: Rio McCarthy takes a look at the games from each of the major three presentations and awards points to each one of them.]

This post is going to be extremely long as there was a lot to write about. If you don't care to read the whole thing I have put the titles I discussed in bold so you can easily find them.

Every year I either watch the E3 conferences or check diligently on the updates online. This year I had the great fortune of doing both, granted reading Destructoid for all the updates was much more informative.

I’ll be giving the conferences points for the games and announcements I was interested, so let’s see who ends up the winner on my scale. While watching all three conferences when they were live I took notes of what my very first impressions were on the announcements and here they are.

Wow. There's just so much to say about Kefka Palazzo. Ever since I played Final Fantasy III (VI) for the first time many many moons ago, Kefka has been my favorite character in the game, and my top favorite from the entire Final Fantasy series. I've always found myself drawn to the villain characters, especially in RPGs, as they tend to have the most off-beat humor. Kefka is definitely no different.

Ah, Destructoid, my home away from home. It was only less than a year ago since I joined this place, and I have now become so much more enamored with this site than I have nearly anything else before it. I have never been to a place with such an amazing community, and an owner that takes his time to communicate with anyone who wants to. This community has brought me so many new friends that I hope to have for years to come. I want to congratulate Niero, and the wonderful staff for keeping such an amazing site going, and helping build an amazing community. Also, Happy Birthday, Niero! Thank you for taking time on your birthday just two years ago to bring us this amazing place to hang out with people just like ourselves. (Even though you just wanted to go to E3. =P) But thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us all a place to belong.

Yesterday, she continued to prove how amazing she is by making all these videogame themed cupcakes including a very delicious looking Mr. Destructoid cupcake. NOM NOM NOM! -- CTZ] 

OK, so this was definitely a first for me. Well, not the making cupcakes part, but you know, this is my first time I'd ever decorated them with fondant. I started about 11 a.m. this morning baking them, and a little over 10 hours later I had these!
