Senor Perrito del Burrito says: Podtoid 125 has happened. It's informative. It's offensive. It's got lots of talking.
This week, Aaron Linde hosted as Jim, Samit and I also said things. It was pretty good. You can subscribe to us on iTunes to hear it, or listen to it here. Big thanks to IJHATT for our delightful outtro this week.

Senor Perrito del Burrito says: Anthony and Jim are not here this week.
As such, tonight's episode of Podtoid will be hosted by one Aaron Linde, Esq. instead. Joining him will be Dr. Samit Sarkar, Warrior of the Arctic Brad Nicholson, and me. I don't have a title because I'm a proper failure with no credentials. But I do have a Summer DX version Yotsuba Revoltech, and can the other guys say that? Didn't think so.
Tonight we will be talking about things. Videogame things. If you want to leave us a few questions in the comments so that we have even more things to talk about, that would be fine. We will probably answer some of them. Probably.
All hail Senor Perrito del Burrito. He is all-knowing, and craves chicken teriyaki.

First of all: spoilers for Modern Warfare 2 and, at the very, very end, some stuff about Metal Gear Solid 4.
Second of all, this week's episode of Podtoid focuses mainly on Modern Warfare 2. Stories about the midnight launches, our feelings about the game in general and, ultimately, a really long discussion about the airport massacre level.
It's got a pretty good mixture of intensely immature humor and legitimate discussion, as most good Podtoid episodes do, so we hope you enjoy it.
You can listen to the show here or subscribe to us on iTunes.

This is the best YouTube video I've seen all year.
Tonight, the Podtoid crew will discuss piracy, Modern Warfare 2, BioWare story structure, and other things. And if we don't find a way to mute Adam Dork, we'll probably talk about Jurassic: The Hunted's raptor-punching QTE's.
As is typically the case, we need listener questions. As is typically the case, you will provide them. A simple arrangement, I should think. Hit the jump and start asking stuff and maybe we'll answer it.

Finally, Podtoid's officially unofficial commentary track for Resident Evil is complete. We hope you like it, because it's the last commentary track you'll be getting for quite some time.
As always, you'll need to find a copy of the movie in question to really get anything out of this episode -- and even then, you'll probably still feel used by the end of the show. Don't say we didn't warn you.
You can listen to the show here or subscribe to us on iTunes.
"SHOOOOOT HAAAAAAA!!!!
Aw man, after you guys get that sand out of your vaginas and man-up to doing another commentary, you should DEFINITELY do Jurassic Park III.
Wait! Why not Jurassic Park 1..."...
Podtoid is Destructoid.com's official news and discussion podcast.
I decided to type "duck motorcycle" into Google image search and I found that picture.
Evidently everyone on the Podtoid cast hates doing the movie commentaries now, so if we actually get around to polishing off Resident Evil we probably won't do any for quite a long time.
Whatever we do end up doing, however, we will need your listener questions. So ask them, already. What the hell are you waiting for.
"Whatever happened to the Infinity Ward we all knew and loved? Was it something we said? Was it because we looked at another game developer with sultry hooded eyes? We're sorry! OH GOD WE'RE SORRY!"...
This week's episode is so named because I screwed up the episode number in our intro. Seems to happen with alarming regularity, these days.
This week, the regular cast minus Sterling discussed Borderlands' similarities to drugs and pornography, the leaked Modern Warfare 2 gameplay video, Netflix on the PS3, and a bunch of random listener question-related stuff.
"RE: Samit's devil's advocate argument, that MW2 is about accessibility.

I have no idea what we (as in, the case of Podtoid™, Destructoid.com's official news and commentary podcast) will be talking about. No damned idea. Maybe we'll discuss Borderlands. Maybe we'll talk about DLC, or something. Maybe we'll finally record our running commentary for the Resident Evil movie.
The only thing I do know for sure is this: we need listener questions, and we might need them pretty badly. Hit the jump, ask us stuff, and maybe we'll answer it on the air depending on how desperate we get for material.

This week, the Podtoid crew discussed Brutal Legend and Tim Schafer's subsequent "you're doing it wrong" email, Modern Warfare 2's crappy PC version, and Brad Nicholson's desire to see a dragon ride on top of another dragon.
Podtoid is Destructoid.com's official weekly podcast, full of gaming news and opinions on gaming news. And also dirty language.
I'm convinced we're never gonna get a full cast for Resident Evil-toid. Still, that's no reason we can't have a good time.
I know for sure that we're going to talk about Brutal Legend and its not-an-RTS-but-it-is-but-it-isn't gameplay, and probably all the goddamn doubling down that's going on. Beyond that, I am typically clueless about what we will discuss.
So, yes. Ask us questions, and maybe we will discuss them on the podcast.
This week's Podtoid is about Demon's Souls, a really long games of the week segment, and Double Down Browntown. I'd make that a link to Phallus Knife Fight's picture, but...you're better off finding that thing on your own.
Or not at all.
The best question this week came from the guy who emailed us (who I won't name because he didn't include an online handle). Just send us another email with your mailing address, guy, and we'll try to get some Dtoid stuff sent your way.

Podtoid, Destructoid.com's official news and discussion podcast, essentially ignores the whole "news and discussion" part and records MST3k-esque commentaries to bad videogame movies. Join us.
Yes, it's been a while. But assuming most everyone on the regular Podtoid crew shows up tonight, we will finally record our running commentary for the first Resident Evil movie.
As always, most of the episode will pretty much just consist of the commentary, but we'll need one or two odd listener questions just to wrap up. Which is where you come in, obviously.
Hit the jump, ask a question, and make sure to get a copy of the first Paul WS Anderson Resident Evil movie by tomorrow (we won't ask how).
Jim didn't download the movie and Samit can't make it.
We'll be talking about Demon's Souls and Valve or something. Ask questions.

Yeah, Resident Evil-toid is overdue, but I don't really like springing these movie commentary episodes on you without giving you at least a week's notice on the podcast itself. We'll hang out with Milla Jovovich next week. This week, it's news.
I have no idea what that news will be, of course.
I do know, however, that we will need listener questions from you lot -- just hit the jump and start asking stuff for the chance to win a Dtoid swag bag.
As promised, Podtoid 118 happened last night. Aaron, Samit, Brad, Jim and I talked about things. Beyond that, I can guarantee nothing. We did talk about boobs for a minute, though.
Anthony never writes much of anything for these posts and I'm not going to either, because I just finished editing the podcast and now I don't feel like it. Blame him for setting such a bad example. You can subscribe to us on iTunes to get the show early, or you can go check it out here. This week's winner is Halidar, just because. If that's you, send your shipping info to podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll hook you up with some sort of thing.
Perhaps not. But Podtoid 118 is a thing that is still happening without fearless leader and agenda-setter-person, Anthony Burch. On tonight’s episode, I will be accompanied by producer Adam Dork and the normal Podtoid crew -- Sports Sarkar, Aaron Linde, Topher Cantler and Jim Sterling. We don't know who is hosting this thing yet, but hey, that's part of the fun.
We’ll talk about things about things that are relevant to other things. As such, we’ll need you. Feel free to ask questions of us in the comments or even suggest something interesting you want us to talk about in there as well. The power is yours.
Remember: while the news has been slow the last few days, TGS '09 was off the hook. There's a ton of stuff we could talk about, so suggest, suggest, and suggest some more!
"This is to everyone:With what seems like the sudden re-imergance of Top-down Shooters (GTA Chinatown, XBL's Indie channel steadily getting more after I Ma3d a Gam3 W1th Zomb135 Inn1t! did so well..."...
The most interesting question this week came from XeroxPunk, just because. Send your mailing address to podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll give you a swag bag, or something.
I dunno what we actually mail out, to be honest. That's not my department.
To be honest, I have almost no idea what we're gonna be talking about on tonight's episode of Podtoid. Some brief GDC Austin musings will be had, but I'm effectively clueless beyond that point. The Martyrdom perk in Modern Warfare 2? I have no idea. Unless I'm mistaken, this has been a tremendously boring week for game news. What do you want us to talk about?
Your suggestion can be phrased either as a statement or in the form of a typical listener question. Either works, and both can net you a Dtoid swag bag if we consider your question/comment/whatever the most interesting.
That in mind, feel free to hit the jump and get to questioning/commenting/whatevering.

The problem -- and I think I've said this before in regard to fanart header images -- the problem with having a really kickass community who makes stuff for you is that when it comes time to share their works in an official capacity, there are just too many. I would have loved to include every single techno remix inspired by Podtoid 114 in this week's episode, but I had to settle for putting Super Mega Hyper's song at the beginning. You should still check out the Podtoid forum for the rest, though.
Anyway, this week's episode is as meandering and weird as you might expect. Linde's gone, but Brad/Chet fills in quite nicely.
This week's most interesting question, which wasn't really much of a question but still resulted in interesting discussion and a really horrendous quote from me, came from Tremulant. Email us at podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll send you stuff.
"You guys do realize that Borderlands runs on Unreal 3, right? If you actually think that the quest for ever more "photorealistic" graphics doesn't improve non-photorealistic games you are not on..."...
I realize I suggested otherwise at the end of last week's Podtoid, but this week's episode won't be an hour-long discussion between Jaffe and me about the place of "fun" in games. We'd planned to record something Friday night, but the dude never got back to me.
In place of any sort of highfalutin games-as-art discussion, we'll be having a more or less regular episode (sans Linde). Topics of discussion will include: Dreamcast memories, the moral question of playing leaked copies before release, Project Needlemouse, and the purpose of difficulty. And, as always, whatever reader questions we have time for.
Ask the best reader question, get a Dtoid swag bag. Simple equation. The jump's right there; go ahead and hit it.
"what's the point of games so difficult they seem broken? battletoads, for example. it was playable, but just barely so due to the extreme difficulty"...
This week's episode is entitled "Guybrush" not necessarily because we spend much (or, indeed, any) time discussing the Monkey Island franchise, but because the last ten minutes of the episode consist of an audio interview with Dominic Armato, the voice of Guybrush Threepwood. I interviewed him at PAX, where I also got him to make fun of Destructoid.
This week's best reader question -- or at least, the only one we read -- came from thomasa, who should send his shipping details to podtoid@destructoid.com.
Too tired. PAX was exhausting, yet enjoyable. You get the basic idea. Podtoid's tonight, and it'll be about news stories that we'll choose five minutes before the show. We'll need listener questions, and so on and so forth.
Here's what really matters: KoKoO Psy made a game called Ikuzo! Cheto!, and it's good. Dead Movie Star allegedly made some sort of Chet game as well, but I refuse to download it because I've already been burned three times before.
"Since it's the 10th anniversary of the Dreamcast (yay!), I was wondering what your most fond memory was of the console.

Aaron Linde couldn't make it this week, so we replaced him with Chad Concelmo. Hope you don't terribly mind.
Then again, of course you won't. It's Chad Concelmo, and he throws out his trademark phrase within literally minutes of being on the podcast. Then he starts being mean to Samit.
This week's best question came from Sentry, who should email podtoid@destructoid.com with his mailing address because that's how we send things out to you through the postal service.
Image on the left by Phallus Knife Fight. Image on the right by SuitcoatAvenger.
Tonight, Podtoid talks PAX, Arkham Asylum, and QTEs. And probably other stuff, which will be decided later. We'll also get some sort of an update on the nuggets debacle.
As always, we need your questions. The best question-asker-person gets a Dtoid swag bag, so hit the jump and give it everything you've got.
And yes, Kohlstream's It Never Happened techno remix will be the intro to the show.
This week's show is a cluttered and slightly overlong one, but I think you'll quite enjoy it. It veers dangerously close to insightful relevance at times (the Shadow Complex discussion), suddenly switching to our typically nonsensical sex jokes until finally arriving at one of the best games-unrelated conversations I think we've ever had.
"@triclops41

Back to the regularly irregular news episodes that made Podtoid so famousquasi-popularat least moderately well known within the Destructoid community long-running. Tonight, Jim, Aaron, Topher and I (Samit may be on a plane, or something) will discuss the Shadow Complex boycott, the PS3 slim, sociopathic game heroes, and other topics. And listener questions, obviously, which we hope you will provide after the jump.
Also, Podtoid is now recording on Tuesdays -- hope that doesn't screw anything up for you.
Anyway, feel free to hit the jump and start asking stuff for the chance to win a Dtoid swag bag.
Not just that this week's episode is a day later than it should be, but that the episode you waited an extra twenty-four hours for is so friggin' bad. I mean, it's moderately enjoyable at moments, don't get me wrong, but...Jesus.
Double Dragon, as a film, is such a weird, awful, poorly-structured catastrophe that it often defies mockery. The film includes a character, for instance, whose neck appears to be made of two giant, sweaty testicles. His name is "Bo Abobo."
"I waited 2 weeks while I imported this game because I couldn't find it anywhere, I'm glad I watched it with you because I couldn't have gone through it alone"...
Once again, the Podtoid crew will record a running commentary for a videogame movie. In case the man with the goddamned insane hairstyle didn't already clue you in, this week's flick is Double Dragon.
I know it's slightly harder to find than the other two movies we commentated on, but a few intrepid members of our forums noticed that the full flick can be found, in ten or so parts, on a Web site whose URL rhymes with "Shmoo Lube." Alternately, you can always Mit-Porrent it.
Most of the episode will likely be taken up by the film itself, but we'll try to leave time for some listener questions at the end. That's where you come in, obviously. Hit the jump, and start asking stuff.
"Interestingly* the character of Bo Abobo #1 (Mohawk Leader) was played by Nils Allen Stewart who was also in House of the Dead 2. Those video game movie actor's really do get trapped don't they?
..."...
I know this week's episode of Podtoid isn't a Double Dragon movie commentary like we promised, but certain parts of the podcast make up for it. I won't specify for fear of spoiling them, but let's just say they involve Samit.
- I try to be fake-mean to Samit and it comes out sounding ridiculously real-mean
- The Red Star: just as good now as it was a few years ago
- Crimson Skies and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter are frigging good
- Mumblings about cut scenes and player-driven narrative
- A particularly memorable Podtoid moment
This week's best question came from KorJax, who has almost certainly won before, but you'll understand why he deserves another prize anyway once you get to his question.
Jim can't make it, so we're not doing the Double Dragon commentary tonight. I do apologize. We'll do it next week, if at all humanly possible. Still, I present you three fantastic illustrations by Guyver 0, Kiranio, and Technophile as an apology.
We need listener questions, obviously, and I presume you will be the ones to deliver them. Feel free to hit the jump and start asking random (but ideally game-related) stuff for the chance to win a Dtoid swag bag.
- Be prepared for Robert Patrick's Double Dragon next week
- The Red Star is good
- I just realized we legitimately do not mention Half-Life or Metal Gear Solid a single time throughout this entire episode
- I think we should get an award or something
Our favorite question this week came from Stevil, who gave us all opportunities to talk about games nobody else has ever heard of. Email us at podtoid[at]destructoid.com and we'll send you a swag bag.
We have an incredible fan base that draws awesome Podtoid fan art. This is a fact, as the above picture and those included below in the gallery will no doubt convince you.
Cadtalfryn made the above Super Samit World image, Avalon drew us as the cast of Lupin the 3rd, Shakey 1245 made a Prince of Podtoid poster, Grievetrain depicted Aaron's weekend hobby, and Phallus Knife Fight...well, you'll probably be able to tell which one he drew.
On to the business of the actual podcast itself: this week's episode is a fully listener question-driven affair. It's been a while since we built an entire episode on your guys' queries, but the time feels right once again.
You know the drill: hit the jump and start asking questions for the chance to win a Dtoid swag bag.
"Hello Podtoid crew, long time listener...occasional commenter who's questions never get read on air.
How come in all the fan art Samit is always portrayed as the woman of the group (like this we..."...
I know I promised Jim would be the only regular cast member missing from Podtoid 108, but Linde leaves around the halfway point for, shall we say, thermal reasons.
Either way, the episode is still alright. Conrad Zimmerman came on to replace Jim, and Topher actually says more than three sentences once Linde is out of the picture. You can listen to it here, as usual, or subscribe to us on iTunes.
Highlights include:
- Samit's games of the week
- Topher is tired of your BlazBlue graphical bias
- Sam Raimi is directing a Warcraft movie, ambivalence ensues
- Arkham Asylum review shenanigans
- A ton of listener questions
Our favorite question came from able_to_think, who asked about trading challenge for narrative. Send us an email at podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll send you a Dtoid swag bag.
"There comes a time...when one finds himself correcting the shading on the breast of the Faye version of Samit...that a man has to consider what decisions in his life have taken him to this moment." - Grievetrain
Podtoid 108 will deal with two or three random news stories, and hopefully a lot of listener questions. Jim won't be around as he's presumably too busy preparing for his Aaron Linde rubdown session, but we'll probably find someone to replace him in time. Probably.
Either way, we need listener questions to fuel the less interesting part of our podcast, and that's where you come in. The best listener question will earn a Dtoid swag bag for the person who asked it, so hit the jump and start typin'.
This week's Podtoid is about as enjoyably typical an episode we've ever done: it's got a good mixture of weird, unstructured BS'ing and Serious News Discussion. And the first twenty minutes consists almost solely of Samit-bashing.
- Email me at reverendanthony[at]gmail[dot]com if you're pretty decent at modding and find the concept of working on a nonlinear zombie survival game appealing
This week's question prize goes to Xhumation, for asking a question so ludicrously out of Podtoid's scope that I consider it amazing Aaron Linde managed to come up with a response. Email us at podtoid[at]destructoid.com and we'll send you some stuff.
'Nother Monday, 'nother Podtoid. All pretty status quo, at this point.
We'll be talking about the Penn and Teller videogames episode, alternative payment structures for games (à la Trash Panic and Battlefield Heroes), and videogames' worst month in a long time. We will also be taking a brief detour back to MAN ISLAND.
As always, we need your questions. The best one nets the person who asked it a Dtoid swag bag, so hit the jump and commence with the askin'.
"I was replaying Braid over the weekend and got to wondering. If games like the Halo series were produced instead as side-scrolling shooters, what impact would they make on the gaming community as..."...
Since the Earth saw fit to swallow up Anthony's internet connection last night, the rest of the cast soldiered on with the handsome Aaron Linde acting as host. That also meant I had to edit, which is why I'm writing this post instead of Anthony. Sorry to move your cheese. It still turned out to be a good show, where we talked about stuff like:
I'm not the only one who loved Wind Waker
Same goes for cel shading
Modern Warfare: Big F*ckin' thing edition
Tomb Raider needs more zombies
The return of Uncle Reg
20 bucks in a box for $10
As always, subscribe to the show on iTunes to get it early, or check it out right here. Anthony will be back next week, when we'll probably talk about the Penn & Teller thing that we skipped this week in his absence.
Header image by Phallus Knife Fight, to whom I say: if you turn the paper sideways, I don't have to crop half your work. Just throwing that out there.
Tonight, the Podtoid crew will discuss subjects including, but not limited to: Eidos review controversy, Wind Waker, gamers' sense of entitlement, and bald space marines.
As is usually the case when it comes to typical news episodes like this, we need questions from our listeners (i.e., you). If you hit the jump and end up asking the most interesting question of the week, we'll send you a Dtoid swag bag. That's how it works.
"Why is it that everyone is freaking out about the delay of Bioshock 2? Games are always delayed. But the real question should be why are all of Take-Two's biggest titles ALL being moved over to n..."...
I'm as surprised as anyone that we actually stuck to our guns and recorded another videogame movie commentary exactly when we said we would. Either way, it's here. It's not as good as the Street Fighter movie commentary, of course, but it's not bad. Get it here.
No highlights this time, as the entire thing is basically just one big running stream of weird riffs and offensive jokes. I will say that Guncannon's "you've lost your balls" riff is as close as we can get to announcing a best listener question. Email podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll talk.
It's that time again. After the spectacularly well-received Podtoid 95, we promised that once, every ten episodes, we would record a commentary track for a film adaptation of a videogame. This week, we comment on the first Mortal Kombat film, directed by Paul WS Anderson.
We still need questions, I think, but I doubt we'll actually answer more than one or two on the air. After all, we've got a solid hundred minutes of PG-13 sci-fightin' to get through.
Still, you can always hit the jump and ask a question or two on the off chance. I doubt this episode will even half as good as Bisontoid given that the Street Fighter film is basically our own personal Citizen Kane, but it's worth a shot.
If that header image offends you, this week's episode of Podtoid isn't going to be much more enjoyable for you. This week, the entire cast minus Samit talked about writing in videogames, Twitter etiquette, and the unusual allure of Suda 51. We also made fun of dead people.
My favorite thing about Podtoid is the fan art, honestly. The ramblings of the four-to-five regular cast members and myself are essentially irrelevant, save for their ability to function as a gateway to truly mindblowing fan art like the above drawing from Grievetrain.
As is typically the case, we'll need your listener questions to fuel the last third of the show. If you ask one that we deem the most interesting, we'll send you a Dtoid swag bag. Hit the jump, if you wish, and start asking stuff.
"Apologies in advance for the games/movies comparison .
Given Rhianna Pratchett's lamentations about writing in the industry, do you think we will reach some enlightened future time when games wri..."...
This was sort of a listener-question-only episode because of the slow news week, except Samit found some news to talk about, so maybe it isn't a listener-question-only episode. Either way, you can listen to it here, as usual, or subscribe to us on iTunes.
Highlights include:
- Brad loves his nickname
- Bloodsport
- The importance of E3
- The Pro-Samit Alliance will fall
The most interesting question came from Necro-Bestial Anal Butt Sex, which is a name that's as fun to type as it is to mispronounce. Send an email to podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll get in touch with you about your prize.
This week, Podtoid was initially supposed to talk about stuff like Mirror's Edge 2 and random news stories, but we got sidetracked discussing Psychonauts and the original Half-Life. Whether this makes the show better or worse is up to you.
- Even when Samit says nothing of sports, he is crucified
- Evidently, Prototype is way better than inFAMOUS
- Why didn't you save us, Milla
- The cast discusses Half-Life for a while -- if you're still playing the Podtoid drinking game, you'll be dead before we reach the mid-show break
- Other worlds than these
- Hot New GrafiX, with a capital X
This week's most interesting question came from wanderingpixel. Send an email to podtoid@destructoid.com, Mr. Pixel, and we'll send some swag your way.
My internal clock got turned around somehow over the weekend, and I forgot today was a Monday. Hence the late post.
Still, though, we've got a greatpretty good serviceable episode lined up for tonight, as the crew talks about last month's Musings theme, Jim's article on why gamers love familiarity, and assorted other junk.
As is usually the case, we need listener questions. The best question will net the person who asked it a Dtoid swag bag, which you can then show off to your friends while they look on in bored confusion.
"I'm not one of those people who feel strongly either way about Jim Sterling's work, but I just wanted to say that the L4D2 article was heroic. Someone had to step up and say those things.

Podtoid returns after a two-week hiatus, and what do we spend the majority of the episode talking about? Brad Nicholson's guns, obviously. And some slightly tangential stuff regarding the 2009 E3 Business & Media Summit.
- I've got a video Podtoid on my hard drive, and you will never (want to) see it
- Samit and Jim: BFF
- Outsourcing, motion control, and sudden sequels
- The rebirth of stealth
- PAX: A John Hughes film
This week's most interesting question came from reamsower, primarily because we touched on 90% of the listener questions in our regular discussion. Send an email to podtoid@destructoid.com with your mailing address and we'll send you stuff.
"Um, alliwanabeisanelf, isn't that what the picture is?
Also, thanks for calling me huggable. I will say that I was pretty impressed with how tall Jim is, after meeting him two weekends ago. I..."...
E3 is over, but you haven't heard the Podtoid crew's take on the whole event yet. Tonight, we plan to remedy that.
Topher, Aaron, Samit, Jim and myself, with the help of the always lovely Adam Dork, will discuss anything and everything that comes to mind about the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
As always, we will require your input in the form of listener questions. The best listener question will earn a Dtoid swag bag, as per usual.
Yeah, we're doing that again. Last week's attempt at Podtoid 100 was kind of entertaining in an insane train wreck sort of way, but the cast thought our centennial episode should be a little less full of awkward silences.
The regular cast plus Niero will basically discuss Podtoid as a whole -- where it came from, and where it's arrived.
As always, we'll need some listener questions. Ideally, they'd be related to Podtoid as a whole, but nobody's going to arrest you if they aren't.
"I remember about a couple of months ago (October?), that a listener emailed in and stated that he listened to Podtoid while on patrol on a navy ship while out at sea. He was very greatful for th..."...
Here's the deal: we've got a Ustream room set up where you can listen to the show live and chat about it, or what have you. You'll need a Ustream account to access the room, but they're free and take like two seconds to apply for.
At 7 pm PDT, the regular Podtoid crew, plus Niero, will start recording Podtoid 100. If you've got a question for the Podtoid crew, or just something in particular you want to talk about at length with the cast, say so in the chat and the lovely Adam Dork will bring you into the broadcast for a few minutes. If you have Skype and a working mic, that is.
We're planning for the show to run about two hours after we get everything set up and, as always, we'll still be giving out a prize for the best listener question, except this time you'll have to actually say it aloud instead of just writing it in the comments.
As you may have already heard, Podtoid was delayed due to our beloved Anthony Burch being taken in with a dodgy appendix. Apparently he is so incorrect about Metal Gear Solid 2, his internal organs cannot take the pressure and have started to rupture. As we wish Burch a speedy recovery, please enjoy Podtoid 99. It's a good episode.
This week, there is a special song, Samit gets stung by a bee (just a harmless bee), we talk for a long time about whether or not Six Days in Fallujah deserves to die, and discuss the lack of terrific Western-themed videogames. Plenty of fun times to be had on Podtoid 99.
I just finished Snake Eater for the umpteenth time, except this go-round was on Extreme difficulty. I don't know why I didn't try it earlier -- the boss fights are friggin' awesome when they actually require some degree of strategy.
Still not sure how I feel about the theme song, though.
Anyway, Podtoid's ninety-ninth episode records tonight and we need listener questions. We'll be talking about last month's Musings theme, the sudden glut of western-themed games announced (Red Dead Redemption, Call of Juarez 2, Red Steel 2, and to a lesser extent, Mad Dog McCree), and probably other stuff.
Hit the jump and start asking questions for the chance to earn a Dtoid swag bag.
This week, Brad Nicholson replaced Aaron Linde. In case you don't end up listening to the episode, just imagine a regular Podtoid episode and replace all uses of the word "boner" with "pecs."
As always, you can listen to the new episode here. Highlights include:
- Jim Sterling, King of Videogames Forever
- Metal Gear Solid 2 is bad, Jim is stupid
- Console-exclusive DLC
- Podtoid is recession-proof
- Lego Rock Band sounds ridiculous, no wait kinda cool, no wait ridiculous
- Post-show meat sweats
This week's most interesting question came from GoJohnnyGo. Just send your mailing address to podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll send you a Dtoid swag bag.
UPDATE: Looks like the version that was up a few hours ago had a borked-up intro. That was completely my fault, and has since been fixed.
"I finally had the time to listen to this today and I thought it was awesome that Brad is from Indiana because I live in Indiana too.
Good podcast as always gents."...
It's only two weeks until Podtoid's 100th episode, which means...well, absolutely nothing, now that I think about it. Tonight's episode will be pretty much like any other -- we'll talk about console-specific DLC, LEGO Rock Band, and gaming as a "recession-proof" industry.
And, as always, your listener questions.
Hit the jump, watch the video, and ask us stuff. If you ask the best question, you'll get a Dtoid swag bag. Typical situation.

The entire regular cast is back for Podtoid 97, and we discussed everything...and nothing at all. That's how it is when you base an entire episode off listener questions, and then refuse to edit out the twenty to thirty minutes of off-topic, behind-the-scenes banter.
You can listen to the episode here, as always, or subscribe to us on iTunes (which is even better, really). Topics of discussion included:
This week's best question came from Phallus Knife Fight, who has been blessing us with insanely hilarious and/or horrifying Podtoid fan art for months now. Shoot your mailing address to podtoid@destructoid.com and we'll send you a swag bag.

We don't do frontpage video embeds anymore, so hit the jump if you really want to see a video of an otter dancing.
Tonight, the Podtoid crew is all about answering listener questions. It's been a while since we devoted an entire episode to purely listener questions and structureless BSing, so why not?
Ask about whatever you want. Current news, old news, hypothetical questions, whatever. The best question will earn the person who asked it a Dtoid swag bag, so feel free to ask as much crap as you want.

There was no way Podtoid 96 would be able to adequately follow the JCVD-tacular heights Podtoid 95 achieved last week. That will surprise no one. Still, despite the absence of Raul Julia, we managed to make do.
This week, Jonathan Ross joined Aaron Linde, Jim Sterling and myself to talk about nonlinear game narratives. And penises. As always, you can listen to the new episode here or, better yet, get us on iTunes. Whatever floats your boat, really.
Discussion topics included:
- Pots and kettles
- Linde the sinner
- Our opinions on BioShock 2 are nothing, if not whatevs
- Can a player-driven story be legitimately affecting on the same level as scripted stories?
- Things about Nicole Wiebe
Podtoid 96's best -- or at least, most insane -- question came from 4knuckleshuffle. Send your mailing address to reverendanthony [a t] gmail [do t]com and we'll send you a swag bag.

Because, really, how do you top a podcast which included Raul Julia, Jean Claude Van Damme, and Kyle Minogue?
If you're Podtoid, you post this picture by Shakey1245, follow it up with a regular news episode and sort of hope nobody notices.
Tonight, the Podtoid crew will discuss BioShock 2, player-created narrative, and maybe some crap about Six Days in Fallujah or the Shadow of the Colossus movie. Maybe.
Either way, we definitely need a lot of listener questions, so feel free to hit the jump and start asking (thus netting you a chance of winning a Dtoid swag bag, to boot).
