The sequel to Konami's 2006 Nintendo Wii game Elebits looks like a better game... and it's on the DS.

Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero should be on store shelves as we speak. We'll admit that it sort of missed our radar, though. The second half of this video shows game play, and it looks pretty solid. Like its predecessor, you're using the power of Elebits to solve puzzles and find hidden things, but this time you're working in a 2D plane, looking at things from the top down. We haven't tried it yet, but we're guessing the whole concept works better with a touch screen and a stylus.

Dtoiders, have any of you tried this out? Is it better than the Wii version?

I really liked the Wii version. It was pretty innovative back then.

Also I tried the Japanese version of this and it wasn't very interesting and targeted at a really young audience. I don't know what you have played, but the Wii version was nothing like this.

Holy CRAP Dale! This looks really awesome! The visual design reminds me of Pokemon Pearl/Diamond in a way, hehe,I like it!

This looks like a lot of fun, I'll probably be picking it up pretty soon (FROM THE INTERNET! oooooo)

I played the demo of this a while ago and enjoyed it. I haven't played the Wii version so I really can't compare the two. Using the stylus made it pretty easy to grab said elebits.

This game's been out for like two weeks now.

I own a copy and I'm on the fourth world so far. It's a pretty good Zelda clone, where you have to collect the Omega Elebits and use their powers to solve various geographical puzzles to get to more Omega Elebits and so on. My only beef with the game is that it seems to be using the Twilight Princess school of area design, in that the Omegas you collect in each area are pretty much only useful in that one area, and then they just sort of sit in your collection screen and look pretty. And a fair number are completely useless from the get-go, like the incredibly lame Power Omega.

Overall the game has been worth the money so far, I'll probably write up a review in my blog when I'm done with it. It's worth noting that the artwork is the most fucking adorable thing ever and is worth owning the game for by itself if you like that kind of thing.

I loved the Wii version, even if the graphics weren't top of the line and the physics were a little floaty. It was fun as hell to toss shit around and collect Elebits.

I played the DS one for a good hour or two now and I'm having fun with it. It's nothing like the Wii one, but it's still pretty fun. It reminds me a lot of Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime for some reason.

I think the Wii version is way more worth owning. Both games are good, but the Wii version was truly original, where this DS game plays it much more safe.

Played this game a few months back. Liked where it was going. Had a weird Zelda meets Pokmemon vibe.
