This is ... amazing. Amazing beyond words. At the Final Fantasy XIII launch event in London, people who hate Ekans showed just how much of a raw nerve the game's multiplatform status is. At the mere mention of the Xbox 360 version of the game, enemies of the Rattlesnake Pokemon flooded the event's host with a torrent of boos, to the point where he threatened them with security.
If you ever wanted further proof that Ekans haters are indeed the worst, then we now have documented evidence to support the claim. Who knew that videogames were such serious business? At least in future, HMV knows to keep quiet about the 360. We wouldn't want an army of enraged thirteen-year-olds starting a war now, would we?

Also my comment sounds odd, I just meant I THINK I read about it before, but I'm that tired and not enough of a fan of Final Fantasy to care. Seems silly/ridiculous though.
I want FFIX to come out on PSN like VII and VIII did. That's all I'm waiting for in the Final Fantasy way of things.
I don't get it. If you own a PS3, you buy the PS3 versions. Ditto for the 360. Expanding your install base is never a bad idea. The way the industry is moving and the tens of millions it now costs to make games it would be suicide to only release on one system.
This is quite alarming. Fanboys were able to spout their stupid drivel due to the anonimity of the internet, but now they have become so confident that they now have no fear of expressing their opinions in public.

Sony fanboys are just upset that sony dropped the ball on the PS3, and its in 3rd place. Feb the 360 outsold both the wii and the PS3 (3rd place), and jan they outsold the PS3.
if they want to whine they can go ahead, just give me the bundle- the only reason i don't play 360 games is that I don't want to buy something that will inevitably and irritatingly fail and need to be replaced, if I got one for free though I wouldn't mind it.
All I can think of as a rational reason to boo that is jealousy? But these aren't rational people apparently. Almost makes me embarrassed to just own a PS3. I don't even want to be remotely associated with people like that.
This is why owning both consoles is the only way to go. It eliminates the jealousy and just lets you get excited about all the games that are coming out.
Frankly the entire console generation has failed. I have all 3 and haven't touched them in ages. Too much committment to play a game on a console. I spend most of my time with my DS/PSP/Gaming Laptop. I can, you know, go to a friends house, or play games while taking metro.

Here's the most frustrating part. To us, this is evidence that fanboyism is getting out of control. To them, this is evidence that they are fighting the good fight, and the ps3 is clearly superior.
I don't understand this whole approach. As consumers, we should want games on as many consoles as possible so that we can choose the platform we want to play it on.

Coming from a Sony FanMAN, I can tell you that Sony loyalists are by far the most irrational and insane of the console fanboys. And what's worse is that Sony's fanbase is on average a few years older than the 360's (there was a study on this a while back but I can't find it), so these blathering idiots ARE just that. They have no excuses.
For example, I can name a half dozen PS3 fanboys from this site (from memory) solely because they are so memorably absurd. I can't think of any MS fanboys off hand. Usually their stupid comments are contained to a single thread.

The booing was mostly in jest. They were disappointed not because it was an xbox but because it wasn't a prize that was really that special.
I mean who goes to a videogame launch and doesn't already own a console that they can play that game on?
