Honestly, I'm not very familiar with Firefly Studios' PC real-time strategy title Stronghold: Crusaders. So when I was being given a demo of the upcoming Stronghold: Crusaders Extreme, I had absolutely no frame of reference. So rather than pretend to know what I'm talking about based on a ten minute presentation (and I have never done that ... no, really!), I'm just going to go ahead and post some screenshots and the fact sheet for the game. But I will say this -- of the 11 games I had a chance to see at EIEIO 2008, Extreme was the only game that was based on an existing IP. If anything, you have it to give it up to Gamecock Media group for taking chances with small development houses and new properties. That's what you guys have been crying for, right? Are there any Stronghold fans looking forward to this one?

Looks Xtreme
Looks identical to Stronghold Crusader, with just more units. I'll stick with the original Stronghold

I didn't even know there was another one coming out, but the original was very fun, I wasted a lot of hours on it. Crap...now I want to boot it back up again!
@ IceMax:
They added quite a bit -- check the fact sheet!
Looks kind of like the Lords of the Realm series I played long ago. I'll have to check this out if my outdated laptop can run it.
Hmmmm, there better have been some code optimization to allow that many units. 400+ was enough to blow over a decent pc a few years back...
Regardless, Crusader was by far the best of the series and I imagine i'll be picking this up this year. Drunken all nighter's playing this game on christmas eve is sort of my brothers and I's tradition by now.
Those are some shit graphics.
Crusaders Extreme = knights riding BMX and skateboards
I totally owned up the first two back in the day, never really got good at it, but it was fun for a couple weeks. Do have to say it doesn't look like it changed much though.
@Nick Chester
Would have to disagree to you about them adding a lot, I think the small amount of updates would be better as a content patch online then them trying to sell it as a new game.
IceMax is right, it's completely identical to the original Crusader. That was a great game, don't get me wrong, but it came out six years ago, so this is...puzzling.
I expected more Mountain Dew. I'm also not familiar with this franchise, but I was excited to see all of the new IPs coming out of EIEIO.
