Electronic Gaming Monthly's long-standing tradition of the "Quartermann" monthly rumors column has has its share of hits, and as many misses. But each and every month, it's the first page I flip to when I receive my new issue. I just love juicy rumors and gossip. Hell, I write for a blog.
According to 1UP, this month's batch of rumors really aren't very shocking. Take God of War 3, for instance -- "rumor" has it that SCEA Santa Monica are already working on the upcoming PlayStation 3 title, which is set to hit next holiday. Or Gears of War 2, another title that Epic Games are "rumored" to be working on, which is also scheduled to ship next holiday.
I don't know when the obvious truths started flying as rumors, but we'll roll with 'em. The random rumor of month, however, seems to be a sequel to Sega's sky-pirate role-playing game, Skies of Arcadia. This game didn't really fly off of the shelves, but sure -- why not?
When the new issue of EGM (along with a Ninja Gaiden 2 cover story) hits newsstands this month, perhaps these rumors will look juicier in print than they do on the Internet.
If they implemented a system like Blue Dragon or some of the newer JRPGs, I will happily purchase whatever system it is on to play it.
this skies of arcadia sequel that is
Moar Skies plz. Just fix the random encounters and I'm all over that.
The rest of that stuff is "duh". Isn't Gears supposed to be a trilogy or some shit anyways?
It seems we all have the same "Skies was awesome but for the random encounter" opinion.
I wonder if they will be taking any customer feedback when developing the second one?
That all being said, when GoW3 comes to the PS3, I'll shit my pants and run down to EB as quick as I can, cash waving in hand as I fap all over the box.
Anyway. I'm going back to watching TMZ.
so there.
Personally, I loved any chance I could get to pull of a "BLUE ROGUES, ATTACK!" or "Dance for me."
Hoho, women are like sunsets... They are beautiful, but there will be another one tomorrow.
I even remember hearing about how Overworks wanted to put in some giant armada battles.
