Eggman and Wily feel the heat in Worlds Collide Part 8

Sonic Universe #53 brings Act Two to a gripping close

With the Archie Sonic / Mega Man crossover, "Worlds Collide," I've been doing impressions posts every set of three issues. What I have to say about these works simply cannot be condensed into short three-paragraph news posts like this one. But since I am writing just such a three-paragraph news post, I might as well tease the next issue hitting newsstands tomorrow, June 19.

Sonic Universe #53 delivers Part 8 of the 12-part miniseries. For Drs. Eggman and Wily, the honeymoon is pretty much over. Faced with the reality that their well laid plans are coming apart, they've shed their friendly façade and begun to conspire against one another. Meanwhile, Sonic, Tails, Mega Man, and Rush are ready to tangle with last and potentially most dangerous Roboticized Masters, Knuckles Man and Rose Woman.

Part 8 marks the end of Act Two, and that means the next issue will feature a new penciller once again. Act One's Jamal Peppers did a wonderful job capturing the action, but Act Two's Tracy Yardley! didn't quite tickle my fancy. Here's hoping that the final Act closes out strong -- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for art maestro Patrick "Spaz" Spaziante to make a grand return!
