Edmund McMillen Fcuks with Time, we write about it photo

If you're not familiar with Edmund McMillen's work, play Gish and Meat Boy. Once you're finished with those (in, let's say, a week) you may find Time Fcuk, McMillen's most recent game, worth your time.

It's the story of a man whose future self implores him to climb into a cardboard box, whereupon he can travel between two temporal dimensions and has to deal with a sentient boil growing on his back.

You know, the usual.

It's much more hardware-friendly than McMillen's other recent games, and, at least at the start, much more entertaining. I had to stop about 4/5 of the way through out of complete confusion and frustration (this post's header image wasn't chosen arbitrarily), but it's worth a look nonetheless.

Oh, does this not freeze at a white screen anymore?
I really enjoyed what I played of it, but I just could not get it to go past the 7th level or so.

Oh yeah. That sounds like a usual Saturday night at my place. A lady friend, a glass of Chardonnay, my sentient boil, and time traveling box.

Read that as "Edward Mullen". Even if that's wrong, someone please kill the Twilight thing, now.

I've got that "All white screen after level load" three times now, twice in a row after repeating a single level. I wanna see where this goes, this sucks. :(

I had a lot of fun with this, as I usually do with any game Edmund has taken a part in creating.

Oh, didn't notice the whole "You must be logged into a Newgrounds account" thing.

SPOILER:
Ant, solved the puzzle you were stuck on. Remember that that static block under the floor there works just like the ones you can push- it stays on a single version of the map, unless you're touching it, wherein it moves with you. Use the movable blocks to break out the blue walls around you a bit to create some moving room, then switch that static block to the version of the map you don't start on.

When you go back to the original version, you can drop though the "Hole" this creates between the top layer of the puzzle, and the middle. After that just funnel blocks one at a time through the portals to the bottom chamber and pile them up underneath the exit teleport until you can jump up to it and switch in midair, giving you access to the exit.

Is there an auto save function?, It's just that it's late and this game coupled with sleep depravation is starting to creep me the fuck out, I'm gonna have to back to this one tomorrow.

I got stuck on the same level you did, Anthony! You've just got to make sure you take one block down at a time to the bottom level, and on the middle level leave the block on the left side where it begins, and jump to the side then up.

Really enjoying it. But it is hard.

Yeah completed! Although I did use the "sleep" skip for one level, "Time Decay". Other than that didn't have too much of a problem with it. Fun little game.

Hrm... useless maneuver, maybe. I call it castling. Try stacking three blocks in a staircase formation, then pushing against the top block. When the pushed block is just about to fall off stop pushing, you and the block's position should have switched.

Awesome. Best played with a gamepad. (Just like MeatBoy.) Edmund FTW.

I beat this game, god was it frustrating. I'm still trying to figure out if the ending had a meaning or if the creator was just trying to mess with people's head. Loved Steve.
