That's because you obviously never been in Argentina or any other south america country. For example, If right now I wanted to buy the Marvel vs Capcom 3 Collector's Edition, I should pay u$s 225. Is that fair?

Wow, that is fucked up. Hell, I'm not sure collector's editions here are THAT overpriced! And this is Israel, where retail games are very overpriced, especially imported console games!
Let's hope Big W or JB HiFi undercut them so we can go to EB and pricematch, then return the game within 7 days, just to teach em a lesson.
Uncharted is one of my favorite game series, but I don't see anything appealing about this collectors edition. I only want the game...hehe
What the hell am I going to do with any of this stuff? The action figure/statue looks kinda crap and poor quality. The box thing looks cool, but it won't fit it with anything in my house, the belt buckle also looks kinda cheesy and would only be good for cosplay (with some extra detail). I could see myself wearing the necklace MAYBE. I only want the game, and maybe the necklace :P

Yeah game prices suck here in Australia. Most games cost $100 at launch with collecters editions usually costing around $150. Somehow I don't think I'm going to buy this Explorer's Edition.
Fun Fact: That's the normal price of a special edition game in Aus. They have a MUCH higher income, so their games tend to cost a lot more. A standard edition, newly released retail game usually costs between $80 - $100
No, that's not the normal price for a special edition game. The only thing remarkably close to that price point was the Killzone 3 Helgast edition which came in at $170. The Deus Ex HR Augmented Edition is $170 as well. Most special editions are $120-130, collectors editions are usually $140-150.

@geezyj we often spend that much, sure. EB knows the average aussie gamer income is above 1 million USD, so they have to adjust prices accordingly. How else do you explain regular EB prices only being 160% above US retail ? Of course it's a non story that AUD$208 is Nearly USD $230. Still, EB knows they can do better than this. When they up the price to $500 for a preorder that includes a worn sock full of sand and a cloth map, I'll get that edition
Collectors edition is all I need, comes with all the groovy dlc this one does minus the useless crap and its only $109 AUS. Same price I paid for collectors edition of U2 and that was fine.
LOL yeah our wages are higher so it really justifies the price. $14 for a part time job with maybe 20 hours work is not ever going to pay for that.
