Early 2014 release scheduled for Murdered: Soul Suspect

Solve your own murder next year

Since getting a look at the teaser trailer for Murdered: Soul Suspect, Square Enix has issued a small update for the project. The game, which is about solving your own murder, will be releasing for Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 in "early 2014."

I'm curious to see what form the gameplay will take for Soul Suspect, given how very little we know yet. Will we actually behave like detectives would? Err, like ghost detectives would? If so, I'd be down for that again, probably. It may not be the most original premise in the world, but this is on my radar, no question. With a 2014 release planned, maybe we'll also see ports to next-gen consoles.
