EA wants you to design weapons for Army of Two: The 40th Day photo

Calling all creative types: EA Montreal is putting on a second weapon design contest, this time for Army of Two: The 40th Day.

Starting today, users can submit an image of their original weapon to be implemented into "a future EA game" along with a short description of said weapon. From there, the Army of Two community will vote on their favorites, and then the developers of The 40th Day will choose one winner from North America, and one from Europe.

It's strange that the contest calls for weapons that would fit the Army of Two universe while also specifically stating that the winning entries will be considered for use in an upcoming EA title, not necessarily The 40th Day. Perhaps I'm looking into this too much, though, and the wording is simply the result of some legal mumbo jumbo.

Can't I just submit the cerebral bore? I think that might be the best weapon idea ever.

Is it telling us to take pictures of dangerous, yet creative, weapons and firearms we carry around the house and promote it in future games? I'm down!

I'm usually really enthusiastic about this audience participation in games. However, considering what a clusterfuck of fratboyish horror the first game was with the unbelievably stupid dialog combined with two of the most disgusting excuses for representations of human beings this side of the big bang I will instead say this.

Original Weapon ideas? Because military themed third-person shooters featuring cover systems just scream innovation. Here's an original idea. What about spending the funds accrued through mercenary work to develop weaponry that can be used to NOT MURDER PEOPLE FOR PROFIT SO YOU CAN GET A JEWEL ENCRUSTED GUN OR A FANCY TV YOU TOSSERS!

Or a weapon that allows the two lead characters to use their awkwardly placed jock humour designed to veil their intense sexual frustrations regarding each other in order to power a gun which, due to the massive levels of energy this certain condition can reach in the first game will cause everyone on the face of the earth to momentarily see the All-Father before evaporating into blissful luminescence.

Wait, Army of Two? Then original idea; A gun that's -blue-...

new weapons... I still can't believe that they are continuing with this franchise.
The game was AWFUL! For a game built for co-op it was dreadful. Then again, yes, I did buy a launch copy based on the hype... only to sell it a few days later before others found out how awful the game was.
(and I know that some people did enjoy this game... but for me it was one of the biggest let downs in hypedom ever! I actually liked HAZE better than this game!)

For a second there I thought this was for the sequel to Kane and Lynch and I was going to suggest a gun that fires Jeff Gerstman. Damn, there goes my witty retort.

@PwnanObrien,

What prevents you from suggesting that idea for this game? It's a weapon I think we've all been asking for.

I'm debating whether or not to get in on this. . . but the chances are pretty good that I won't.

I think I want to take a shot at this (pardon the unintentional pun), but that's probably just because I'm high. I should go play something with splosions now.

In order for this game not to lose what made the first one special everyone needs to submit the "fist pound." It's a melee weapon that when activated with the X or A button (depending on platform) will cause both players to fist pound, play air guitar, or just bro it up. When not in close proximity to your partner it will cause random discussions about the Wu Tang Clan or other fratboy topics.

There's still time to save this game from the moron critics with no sense of humor or too little balls to admit to liking things that are awesome. But it's up to us to do it.

I've slayed a lot of fat chicks with my stubby cock. So I'll submit an image of it. Does it have to be a picture or a drawing... or doesn't it matter.
