Anticipation of game not diminished.
I'll pass. :'(
Nevermind. Still on the maybe train.
And Visceral made it work.
And now they're adding in a teency bit more action, enemies with guns, more open environments and co-op.
Hopefully they can do it again.
This might be one of the very games I stay almost completely clear of until release.
Anyway, EA will continue to throw money at Dead Space. They have too much invested in it, and they'll be goddamned if they're going to throw that all away and settle for anything less than a blockbuster.
They kept throwing money at Mass Effect until it became a shooter, though, and none of the Mass Effect games have sold as well as Dead Space 1. I don't doubt that they made the majority of their profits on DLC in both cases, but it's funny to think that DS1 could sell more copies than any ME game and still be a disappointment in the eyes of EA.
EA, just please, PLEASE let the game speak for itself. It's Dead Space 3, we know it exists, now please do yourselves a favor and shut up.
I want someday to hear that they 're gonna add split screen again..They are so creedy that they removed split screen even from sport/racing games like NFS&SSX!
I hate how bringing a game to a mainstream audience means stripping away features, dumbing it down, take away control, and adding more flashes and explosions.
Have they ever thought of advertising a game more, instead of simplifying it to help it reach the mainstream?

Also, is that any less correct?
I guess I'll have to look forward to my less anticipated games like; Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, Borderlands Two, and maybe Counter Strike: GO :(
EA has to sell over 5 million copies to pay for these kind of articles.
Die in a fire, EA.
if people want to play or buy it they will, i dont think COD(example) fans are like "gee i would so buy dead space 3 if only it had humans i could gun down with a buddy in an open world cause thats all i play"
What is it with the 3's? Is that the tipping point when the series has enough of a name that you can get away with converting it to a FPS and no one will grumble much?
Other than that, I'll wait & see what reception Dead Space 3 gets when it releases, & completely ignore any twaddle that EA spout.
Also, can ign be destructoids official or unoffical rival? Because seriously, those tools (contributors and patrons alike) suck corporate dong 80 percent of the time. Rawr, contrary opinions!

On it's way to f2p
Why do you think everything is becoming a vessel for DLC? EA may or may not need to sell 5 million copies of a game to profit, but that doesn't matter. EA is making their money on digital services, not retail games. They're setting everything they can up to be a platform for continued DLC sales, not because they're greedy, but because they're bloated.
It seems like every year EA does more and more to make the thought of buying one of their games feel more distasteful.
Also the amount of fanboyism among their journalist *cough* greg miller *cough*
