While it's honorable that you want to defend one of your studios EA, your are neither the scion nor defender of the industry. It's actually kind of shameless that you'd use the lawsuit as a form of self-promotion.

I don't care for these types of articles. It's not news. The previous article informed us this was a case that was happening. And companies put PR spin on legal fights all the time, nothing new there. This only serves to feed those people looking for their daily fix of outrage.

Classic case of a company who can't keep its mouth shut. This is Kotick levels of stupidity at this point.

Right, but the rest of the plant is crippled and deformed at this point, specially with EA as the gardener.

So, honestly, this is a pride issue, not a rights to ownership issue.. I mean look at it, they're upset because Zygna put a game together in a month when its taken Maxis probably years. Its basically showing Maxis up, and EA's got to step in like the father defending his son at a little league game.. What next? They going to give out ribbons to everyone for simply showing up?(oh wait.. I think they do, since many games claim to be "Game of the Year" now)

Doesn't matter if the game is shit compared to Maxis' work or not, because Maxis (really more EA) is stuck feeling like the product of its loins is a retarded half wit, and is crying into its cornflakes over it.

And, of course, this calls into question why *any* company doesn't attack knock off *all* forms of knock off shovelware.. Oh, yeah, thats because the companies that make those games usually don't make millions off them.. This isn't about video games, its about butt hurt.

I hate Zynga and therefore have no problem watching them and their evil ways crash and burn. Then Jesus can take the wheel and help EA become righteous. No really.

EA does have good games, and it is important to the industry... however it also exudes many of the worst business practices of the industry. I suppose that keeps them as successful as they are, but it's shady, and the way they got there is shady. Ubisoft has earned it's right to have it's own killer press conference at E3, EA is only still in business because of it's sports simulation (which many see as a divisive line where "real" gamers do not tread). In general I don't like huge corporations because the workers at the bottom of the ladder are always getting screwed.

This whole thing is like Baal vs Diablo or something.
