This is stupid. "Dillinger" is vague and should be public domain. If someone owned the name John Dillinger as a copyright or trademark or whatever I would understand a lawsuite if EA named their guns "John Dillingers Tommy Gun" or "the Modern John Dillinger." But I mean...wtf.
It would still be stupid because this is a historical figure not a fictional character. What if my last name was Dillinger and I wanted to start a plumbing business? Would I get slapped with a lawsuit? That would suck. Dillinger LLC needs to be put down, like Flamin-dekustick I'm on EA's side on this one.

There is precedence for things like this. And the relatives of celebrity's do have the legal right to own that persons name and likeness. This was all started by Priscilla Presley, who basically fought for the image rights of Elvis. Now she didn't do this for evil gane. People where making shoddy merchandise with The Kings likeness and the Presley estate was still bankrupt. After she won the rights to Elvis's likeness (after a long legal battle) she forged a small empire and turned Graceland into a museum. I should point out at this time Priscilla was still a young single mother and was looking out for her and Elvis's daughter. After words the relatives of the 3 stooges where able to gain control of their likenesses and get that under control too (apparently they were having the same problem of any jackass slapping the three stooges on a coffee mug and making money off it)
