1. The world/galaxy as we know it is going to end.
2. Introduce hero who everyone just somehow knows is amazing.
3. Hero will travel around and pick up groupies.
4. Somehow find time to help groupies with personal problems with coming apocalypse.
5. Fuck a groupie.
6. Stop apocalypse.
7. Set up another catastrophe for impending sequel.
And it works EVERY TIME. I love and have played through every Bioware game at least 3 times. Anyways on subject: EXCITE!
I KNOW. I have no idea why it keeps on working on me, either. Darn them for being enjoyable.
We've been waiting the whole series to check out Earth, and if we're stuck now with only a Gears-esque wasteland to battle through in the end game, I'm going to be pissed.
But seriously, what aliens will be bangable? I love doing the Captain Kirk thing in these games.
So the answer to piracy is to ask MORE money for games, and not to MAKE BETTER games? Who would have thought.
Also, could there please be a way to take your helmet on and off without going to the Normandy? I'd love to wear it in battle, but then I have to wear it all the time and I look like a nut!
And also, EXCITE!
I just wish it wasn't so generic. Saving earth? Really? My Shepard spent the last two games recruiting some of the most brave and dangerous individuals from across the galaxy to stop an alien race hell bent on destroying ALL sentient life. Now I'm supposed to be worried about earth, that boring blue planet I already live on? Come on Bioware, Mass Effect 1 and 2 were fun because I got to help people who WEREN'T boring humans.
I really hope this doesn't affect the recruitable party members. My least favorite party members have always been the boring humans and a game about saving earth sounds like it'd involve a lot of humanity (which is boring if I haven't already mentioned).
Or in Kotor's case, go to a few planets to look for the bad guy, then a new area opens up, you go there, get out, then go to the final stage
You will need to do better BioEA.
Also: MOAR Wrex.
Earth is selected because the series theme is about humanity's place in the galaxy. It works....the first game had humans coming to the other species rescue...ME3 could be the other way around.
Because consoles are the precedent now and they've dictated that new games should be $60, so the PC follows suite.
