EA Sports Wii titles being bundled with Wii MotionPlus photo

Electronic Arts has announced that it will be bundling some of its upcoming titles with Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus peripheral.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, which hits stores on June 16 in North America, will come bundled with the accessory at launch. For Europe, both Tiger Woods and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis will ship with the peripheral when those titles land this summer. Both titles will obviously make use of the added functionality of the title, which will enable more accurate and nuanced motion controls.

This is an interesting move on both EA and Nintendo's part. Seeing how well bundling a Wii Remote in with WiiPlay did for that title (it's still one of the best selling games on the system), this could work wonders for both of these titles. I mean, not to say that WiiPlay alone isn't worth its weight in gold...

No word on North American pricing, but the titles will come to European retail at £49.99, roughly £10 more than traditional Wii games. Looks like you'll be paying a bit for the priviledge of more accurate motion controls. We'll update as soon as we hear information on North American pricing, and whether or not the games will be sold without the peripheral.

[Update: The bundle pricing for North America will be $59.99; Tiger Woods will be available without the accessory for the standard Wii game pricing of $49.99]

Wow, that's a pretty freakish player model.

$10 more for the bundle isn't bad considering MotionPlus by itself will be selling for $19.99. At least you'll be saving $10 this way. Now if only they bundled a game I actually wanted to play with the add-on!

So the Grand Slam Tennis isn't being bundled with the motion plus in NA? Only Tiger Woods?

Kind of hard to hit a ball with a hole right in the middle of the racket.

gosh, why am i thinking i need to buy two games for $120, that i probably don't need, to save 20$ on two ++s, that i dont need until red steel 2 comes out, which i probably also don't need. I kid, but the truth is i hate marketing, bundling and cuddling. Also, cold feet.
