I will never understand how this game sells so many copy's. Then again, I also can't understand the appeal of football to begin with.
When I buy a football game I expect there to be a perfectly round ball and players which actually most of the time use their feet to play the ball, not their freakin' hands.
Yes for football, no for the strange-rugby-like-thingie.
When EA got exclusive rights to the NFL it was one of the worst days for me as a football game enthusiast. NFL 2k5 was pushing the genre forward and was looking to finally take over Madden. EA hasn't put one ounce of creativity into their franchise. Just go play 2k5 and then the newest Madden to see how a two year old game can still outclass the newest franchise....sad.
I like futbol american and I like the Madden games.. I'd say I feel out of place but, well, so do a hell of a lot of other people. Madden is a game which has football which plays like football. It also matches the NFL players and stadiums well. What else would I need?
Anyone care to cry bullshit on this one?
