If you were absolutely itching to take a crack at Origin on your brand new shiny Mac, you can now test it, as it's in an alpha stage.

EA boasts that you'll have the same "innovative" features as the PC version, including cloud storage, auto-patching, and "friends lists."

If you try out the alpha, you'll get a free copy of Popcap's Bookworm. In case you forgot, EA owns Popcap now.

As for me, my Macbook will probably stay Origin free. That is, unless they get Number Munchers.
