EA pulls out of nude Need for Speed: ProStreet promotion photo

Remember yesterday when Nex told us about EA's use of bare breasts to promote Need for Speed: ProStreet? Who could forget, right? Well, now it sounds like EA would like you to forget it all.

According to GamesIndustry.biz, EA says that they regret the use of topless ladies in this promotion.

"We regret that these images slipped through the proper EA approval process," said a spokesperson for the publisher, speaking to GamesIndustry.biz. "They were not appropriate for our brand. The original site has been taken down this morning."

The site still features a photo shoot video, but images and mentions of the game have been removed.

As long as they don't cancel the vagina ads for boogie 2, I'll get over this.

Damn straight. Everyone knows only kids play games, so this was clearly EA trying to intentionaly turn harmless, innocent children into mindless heathen rapists. There's no way a pure unsullied mind would be able to fully comprehend and deal with the absolute unbridled indecency of actually seeing naked breasts. This was a malicious and sinister act on EA's part, and I will personally be filing a class action law suit for $18,000,000 for emotional damages inflicted upon me and mine by this horrific atrocity.

Man, I thought this was one of the better promotion's for a game in a while, they should totally have ran with it.

Totally agree with big filth, what a bunch of sissies.

bewbs worked and they are ditching it. i mean sure it was for niche market, but that market didn't complain. i mean i read the article in several places yesterday and none of the reading i did involved some family activist group trying to court-rape them. why did they turn tail so fast?

See, this is what happens when EA is given a platform to thrust their "values" upon gamers. Will they just fucking make games (and advertisement for those games) for Adults and stop trying to pretend they are Disney? Im sick of news release after news release coming from these guys because they are stiffling a game or content because "its not part of our Family Friendly image."

Stop buying up all the fucking developers out there that don't make family friendly games and then forcing them to edit out all the content! EA is bullshit. Stop supporting them people.
