Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

pimp.jpg It has just been unveiled that EA, the company we all know and love for their honest and straight-forward business practices, is going to charge for cheat codes within Tiger Woods 07. That's right, cheat codes. EA has just crossed that microtransaction line between acceptable and not acceptable. Here's what you get for your $2.50 to $3.75: • Unlock golfers: Unlock all golfers in the game--200 points • Own everything in the pro shop: "Save time by unlocking and owning all items in the pro shop..."--300 points • Maxed out player: All skills will be set to 110 percent--200 points • Sunday Tiger: "Play Tiger at his Sunday best."--240 points • Unlock courses: "Save time and unlock all locked courses."--200 points Now, keep in mind, this is for the lazy gamer because you can still unlock these if you play the game like we all used to, you know, by playing it. But, if you're too lazy to play a game just to unlock content you probably wouldn't care about anyway because you're willing to pay for it instead of playing it, well then, you've just confused a nation and me. What's even more concerning is the fact that EA, or any other publisher, may see this as a way to nudge in even more devilish microtransactions that take the place of traditional game content. We were all scared this would happen with Xbox Live and Marketplace, sadly it looks like it might be starting to happen. What do you all think about this?
