Electronic Arts, despite weathering all sorts of criticism over the years, apparently has a sensitive side. German game hater Regina Pfeiffer described EA as "that pig of a company," and Electronic Arts has helpfully suggested that an apology might be in order.
Pfeiffer made the remark after expressing upset that she could not sue EA, since it wasn't German. She was speaking at the Computer Game and Violence conference in Munich.
EA's response was pretty classy and rather clever, however: "Should Mrs Regina Pfeiffer have actually lost her composure to the point of describing Electronic Arts as being a 'pig of a company', then I can only recommend that she apologizes in full – at least, if she wishes to be taken seriously again in the future."
Beautiful response.
And really, why is it that these clean and moral anti-games people can't show even the slightest portion of respect? From Jack Thompson to Keith Vaz to Leland Yee, these people use lies and childish insults to get their point across. Not exactly a good example to be setting for one's kids, right?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Criticisms of 'EA' however, stand.
Not sure which is my favorite, this, or David Jaffe's latest spat at NeoGaf ass hats
Also, are you suggesting that they aren't in fact greedy and pig-headed? Because that's not my experience. You'd be applauding if this came from somebody 'in the nidustry'.
EA neglected to mention anything about cocks turning green in their response so Jaffe picks up a few points for detail. Besides, he was even nice enough to dish out a "10 spot" to some forum member's victimized mother. Regina Pfeiffer didn't get a dime.
Good stuff
also, EA wears lipstick?
This woman called EA a pig of a company because she couldn't sue them. I am all for giving EA the criticism it deserves, but not from a hypocrite.
Here's a message for EA: "You're a bunch of f*cking pigs."
nice pic :) somebody should send it to EA as there new logo.
EA is evil pig king!
Amen. Dead Space and Mirror's Edge just recently suggest EA have turned the corner, even if there is a long way to go. Bobby Kotick saying he wants to 'exploit' games and a new GH and COD every year suggest Activision are happy to take over as supervillain
Seriously who cares? Call her a dumb kraut and get over it. Like EA doesn't have the money to a) turn a blind eye or b) pull it out in front of her and say "My slop is soooooooo delicious. Care for some? Sorry Pigs only, no bitch dogs allowed."
And then Activision can say oh snap son! and they can high five while more money comes flying out all over the place.
Dead Space DLC is pure win.
@ stripe & sup3rt3d
100% Agreed...
Plus Madden 09 was a complete overhaul...
I actually own a "Madden" game now!
Here's to hoping that Activision doesn't go the lazy fat cat ways. Previously traveled by EA. (( Call of Duty )) Yeah, I went there...
@ Regina
You've won the fight in your own mind & country, So-Far... Even Jacko had a few good days. Not so much anymore.
I pray EA & it's stock holders sues you for deformation! Eventually.
PIG!
Think of the pigs guys.
