This is officially the most metal game ever. I never thought that Mirrorthrone would ever be in a video game, let alone my favorite song by him. I could do without some of the songs, but I almost feel guilty for saying that because this is the most solid setlist I've seen in any game. Ea better use their magic powers to put some of these in Rock Band
I don't recognize alot of these songs here, but thats good because then I'll be pleasantly surprised when I hear them. I DID see Superbeast in there though, and thats a fucking rad song.
Oh man. Megadeth, King Diamond, Anthrax, Slayer, Testament, Judas Priest, Mastodon, Dethklok, 3 Inches Of Blood, Skeletonwitch?! Sweet zombie Jesus. If I lived in the Brutal Legend world, right now I'd be rocking a hard-on that shoots lightning. So awesome.
Yeah... OH YEAHHHH!!!!! ALL HAIL!!! Damn, great line-up. I could have thought of few other tracks that could be in there, but that's irelevant... Great line-up. Although one cannot avoid wandering where the fuck the dug-up Angel Witch from... I mean, really... Angel Witch...? Damn, I feel old... :/
Eh, despite my anticipation for this game, it's not because of the soundtrack. I've never been a huge fan of metal, but I am a huge fan of Double Fine.
The lack of Maiden and Metallica is sad. Metallica is understandable because of their exclusivity bullshit with Activision, but Maiden has shown EA a lot of love recently with the RB pack.
I wish there was more melodic death metal (Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, At the Gates), but In Flames and Children of Bodom are still fucking awesome.
If the game had Opeth, then it would be truly perfect. Although I could see that the softer parts of Opeth songs may not fit as well as they could.
But I'm nitpicking.
I'm even more sold. I think I may go preorder this tonight.

There are a lot of weak tracks on this game that I wouldn't exactly classify as metal like Static X, Marilyn Manson, and Kiss. But a game with Carcass, Emperor, Enslaved, and freakin Manowar is definitly awesome. And the inclusion of really good unknown bands like Bishop of hexen, Apostasy, Coroner really makes this top notch. I just wish they would have put some Mastodon from Leviathon, could you imagine an epic battle with Moby Dick set to Aqua Dementia?!
