Next time I trade in a game I sell it for $15. Then add $5 on for the case and $5 for the instructions. I'll be getting $25 for my $15 game.
Uh nope. More and more I'm buying less and less physical games. I'm also buying fewer games on console. I'm migrating to Steam based on nothing more than value. I pay less and I get more. I won't pay $60 for a digital product, but that nothing to do with Sony or the PSN hack. Not a damn thing.

Hahaha the PSN hack changed nothing and I have a credit card. If you have a credit card you know you have insurance, if you know you have insurance shit like the PSN doesn't scare you, if shit like the PSN does not scare you you buy games, when you buy games you have fun and meet people, when you meet people and have fun you enjoy life, when you enjoy life you are truly living.

I bought journey and skull girls recently. I'm 20 and I have my debit card linked to my psn.
When psn got hacked I simply cancelled my card and got a new one.
EA just Doesn't understand anyways. Why would I want to buy a digital version of their game at full price when I can get it for cheaper at amazon or gamestop?

Apparently Gamestop will be selling Steam vouchers soon. Just in case you like paying taxes for no reason, or supporting a store that has treated PC gaming like crap for the last decade and is now desperately trying to get back in the game.
No... the reason a lot of people don't buy digitally (when they have a retail option) is likely price as Jim noted. Why would I spend more to buy a digital version of a game when I can often find it new or used at a lower price in a retail store?
The other issue, especially with next gen consoles being discussed is whether we will retain access to previously purchased digital content. If I buy ME on PSN will I still be able to play the game on my PS4? Maybe I'm better to just buy the disc version and still be able to sell it for a few dollars.

He seems to forget that gamers prefer physical media because they can resell it or share it with friends while digital media is stuck on the console, you cannot share it or resell it. It seems you are suggesting that because physical copies of games like BF3 and ME3 are selling well, it means that the company understands how to make the digital version competitive (while they simultaneously bitch about how the digital versions aren't selling as well). That just seems completely nonsensical.

Buying a digital product often means I have to pay full price and can't sell the game back if I'm not satisfied or need the cash for a new release. Therefore, I do not often buy digital copies of games that have a physical alternative. Though, if they understood this, it would probably lead to more "USED GAMES ARE BAD FOR EVERYONE, GUYS!" comments from publishers. Though, I think I might prefer more of that than the utter retardation that is the "they must not have credit cards" approach.

Where not afraid of hackers and were not just not buying stuff the problem is one origin SUCKS!!!!!!!! and bad really really bad and two you have neglected your fans and hurt huge numbers of game by taking most of your stuff off of steam. I can't pay $60 for a digital copy of a game. I like the cases and the manuals and the posters (some have posters) that come with physical copies. Digital needs to be $40 or less to grab my eye.
Most ppl have forgotten about that PSN situation. People just don't like paying for extra shit before they even open the game. Not to mention some of these arcade games are overpriced.
